Re: Icecubes, god mode and a bug in Keen 1
Whoa. I never knew about this at all before! Out of curiosity, I started up Keen 1 with DosBox and was playing around with the cycles, trying to see if I can get the infamous lollipop in Capital City. It took me many, many tries, but I actually got that lollipop, with cycles set at just 147! :eek I ...

Re: Fan-art thread
I found this while looking up Commander Keen images: https://img00.deviantart.net/459c/i/2015/089/4/1/commander_keen_by_toodlesteam-d8nrjpb.jpg It's made by ToodlesTeam, who has done lots of "Spyrofoam" models. Here's a link if anyone's interested in seeing more: https://www.deviantart.com/toodleste...

Whoa, that was quick! Amazing! So it looks like you have to be exactly precise in order to get that item.

The Lifewater Flask in ChargingMoose's first level
http://www.shikadi.net/keenwiki/ChargingMoose%27s_1st_Levelpack So, I played the very first modded Keen 4 level ever released a while ago, and it made me question something. There's a Lifewater Flask that is sitting right between two spikes. I've tried to get that bottle many times, but none of my a...

Re: The Sunnylands (K4 levelpack)
Thanks for the comments, namida and K1n9_Duk3! It's nice to have feedback even if it has been about a year and a half since this levelpack came out! Regarding the Dumb Well, I actually didn't know that level 17 gets to have special scrolling meant for water levels until after I released the levelpac...

Re: OFF TOPIC THREAD: Where derailing the thread is impossible!
Haha, great ideas, Benvolio and Roobar! I'd especially like to see that bouncy pogo idea get used in a mod someday; perhaps the pogo in-game can be modified to jump higher (but not like all the way up to the sky). Maybe you need to use up a replacement for ammunition to bounce higher with the pogo. ...

Re: The Crazy Komet
Whoa, amazing! I can see that you put a lot of work into this! I especially like the first two screenshots! The rest took me a bit of time to figure out what's going on; I think the contrast between the background and foreground tiles in those screenshots are too little. I can't even figure out if t...

Re: keening - sugar search
1. To come think about, I agree! All of those names should be actual mods/fangames!
2. No, I don't think so. It's interesting since all of the other choices are actual Keen characters. Maybe it's some inside joke or an unused character.

Re: Interesting video about CGA
I looked up the Yamaha PSS-470 to see what it looks like, and it looks pretty cool! The 8-bit Guy seems pretty cool as well; I remember watching his video about how graphics worked on the Commodore 64 and NES (I think?). That one is... pretty cool! I liked the part where you see someone filling some...

Re: OFF TOPIC THREAD: Where derailing the thread is impossible!
After all these years, I'd almost forgotten! The border flashing red made killing a Vorticon pretty epic! That was only in Keen 1 if I recall correctly. I think the border flashing was also in Keens 2 and 3. It's been a very long time (too long, perhaps :-O ) since I've seen the border, though, so ...

Re: In search for missing fan-games and mods
Hey, guess what PCKFers? Grandy02 found FOUR more levelpacks for Vorticons that weren't added to KeenWiki until recently and are probably not very well known today, although they are newer than the other missing fan-games and mods listed here. I also found two levels contained within one levelpack t...

Re: OFF TOPIC THREAD: Where derailing the thread is impossible!
Nice to see the Keen border. You would forget that it is a feature of the game - a moddable one at that - in this era where the game is mostly played on laptops. Just found this post, and I have to agree! I remember seeing that border when I played Commander Keen as a kid! :D One time I changed the...

Re: The PCKF skin before the migration
I was referring to the skin we used before we migrated, but I wasn't able to find a better way to word the topic title at the time. It'd be cool if we can have a personal option to use one of the older skins, though. Like these: http://www.shikadi.net/keenwiki/Public_ ... um#Gallery
