Re: Favorite Keen Levels, favorite Keen enemies you play just for sport?

Ah yes. Shikadi Master mixed with Robo Red shooting firepower equals to one of the most dangerous enemies in keeniverse. However, if we talk just for sport, I'd say the keen 9 final battle boss is probably my favorite. And probably the finall boss of Atroxian Realms, though this is too hard for my t...

Re: Tileset map editors

Yeah. I would also like to answer what makes platformer good or bad. That is actually a very good question. For me, a perfect indie , but retro-like classic platformer, would be, if you take the gameplay and most of the mechanics from Secret Agent, Crystal Caves and Dangerous Dave and combine them i...

Re: Tileset map editors

If there's one expert for tileset and map editors here, that should be K1n9_duk3. As for a general advise, unless you are planning to make an indie studio with multiple people working on it, then don't go with over-ambitious plans for a huge platformer with many levels, tilests and features. That wi...

Re: Keen Dreams somehow makes it to Nintendo Switch

There's really nothing stopping us from creating a 2D sidescrolling platformer starring an out of shape guy in his late 30s on a pogo stick who travels through space and time, and then putting it on the Switch Eshop. Captain Kid in Goodbye Childhood! Uh yeah right. That's easier to say than to make...

Re: Keen Dreams somehow makes it to Nintendo Switch

I supported that guy back in the steam days, but he screwed up then. I already got the game and at that price I don't feel like buying it again, unless there is a new episode at least. I'd rather support people here for the awesome mods.

I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to some opinions on twitter I've red from people who are not on this forum.

Re: Keen Dreams somehow makes it to Nintendo Switch

How would co-op in Keen even work? Ever heard of Commander Genius? BTW I'm really surprised that they added music in this! I was about to ask if they actually have added something new or changed something and they did. From that video I've watched, I don't think it fits well Keen Dreams. I can't de...

Re: The Mortrix (K2 mod)

That Super Mario level actually looks like a spin-off of Dangerous Dave in copyright infringement.

Re: Your most memorable level or place in Keen?

I don't really know. For me for Keen 4 it should be probably the first level with those trees and the slug statue and the biggest secret area with a lot of 1ups. The brown underground passages of the second level and others, inspired me to draw a few levels on paper. From Keen 5 is probably the firs...

Re: Suburb Shenanigans

OK I've managed to finally beat this game. The ending was definitely a surprise. I did not expected that. As far as bugs are concerned, I need to mention the following after downloading and trying the last version from Nisaba: 1. At the end of this level, you can fall through solid soil ground right...
