Re: Lemmings 3D clone for modern PCs
I just uploaded a new update that fixes those issues (as well as an obscure bug with the basher, and it implements the minimap). If installing over your existing copy, delete the "hotkeys.lpmi" file (as some, though not all, of the issues were due to incorrect default hotkeys - Loap will s...

Re: Lemmings 3D clone for modern PCs
Yeah really cool! I wonder why Pixelmusement didn't mentioned this in his latest video. Is there a way to change keys? Why A moves to the right and D moves to the left? I haven't used the keyboard controls in a long time; I might have mixed them up when implementing configurable rather than hardcod...

Lemmings 3D clone for modern PCs
Yes, another one I made myself, but I figure there's probably a few people here who it'd appeal to and I'm not making any money off it so I'll share it anyway. The clone is called "Loap", and can be obtained here: https://www.lemmingsforums.net/index.php?topic=5907.0 Still under developmen...

Re: A tech tip for Keen Day 2022
I'm most intrigued by the fact that you have a WiFi card in a DOS laptop in the first place. DOS is older than Wifi, isn't it? Was the card added on later? And DOS can interface with it just fine? If I'm not mistaken, DOS can use third-party networking drivers. You'd also need a third-party app to ...

Re: Commander Keen Remastered (New Game)
Maybe they should take into account that if they treated the franchise properly instead of doing... whatever the hell it is they're doing... maybe games like this wouldn't need to exist. They really have no one to blame but themselves here - oh well, we can do our part by making sure we don't buy th...

Granted. You were still attacked by a dopefish, but you were spit out, survived, and will live the rest of your life in horrible pain from the injuries.

Granted. Your hand is now permanently 4 degrees celcius hotter than the rest of your body, which irritates you to no end for the rest of your days.

Re: Commander Keen Remastered (New Game)
I still believe the fact that the Bethesda game is happening at all is a positive development, even if the game itself is garbage (which all available evidence suggests it will be.) Remember that the Sonic franchise went through a bit of a wilderness period too (starting with 'Heroes' and ending wi...

Re: It's been a while...
Oh wow, I first saw this topic and didn't even make the connection to the former admin Thea. :O (Not that I really knew her much back then beyond "she exists" either, I first came to the site during the time she still sorta was around but not very active.) Always cool to see members from s...

Re: The Sunnylands (K4 levelpack)
The only thing I'd point out is that in Dumb Lake, the vertical scrolling is awful. There's a patch out there - I saw it in "Keen 4 Ultimate Edition" - which gets proper underwater scrolling for two levels, at the cost of having awkward scrolling on the world map - I think this is prefera...

Re: The Sunnylands (K4 levelpack)
I gave this a play the other day. For the record, it's the first time I've actually played anything Keen-related in probably 4 or 5 years now. I'm very impressed overall! The only thing I'd point out is that in Dumb Lake, the vertical scrolling is awful. There's a patch out there - I saw it in "...

I was gonna say "wouldn't the original one be the ezBoard one", but I vaguely recall there was something even before that?
