Not really a huge surprise, considering the name of the forum. It's probably safe to say the community prefers Keen games by default, but can be open to others on a case-by-case basis.

Wikipedia doesn't appear quite as encouraging, unfortunately. Before you can get one, you have to verify that you own the domain; it sends an e-mail to the owner registered in the DNS entry. If I recall correctly, the one I was thinking of was even more automated. Verification(/management?) via a pr...

No source code?

It's sad to see it just be discarded without note.

Low/High Chaos, like in Dishonored.

During the move, please also take the opportunity to add https; this is practically the only site I have left without the green lock thingie. I've heard there were newish cert authorit(ies?) designed to be free of charge and supposedly simple to setup (though I lack the experience to say for sure).

If you are not very familiar with computers (additionally,a little MS DOS experience is a plus), then GNU/Linux is not likely to be for you...it's got a while before it really obtains that "out of the box" feel that Windows and Mac has. I can't really agree. There are many people for whom...

On the Windows Computers where I used VirtualBox, I had to enable some kind of hardware virtualization (if I recall correctly, Intel VT-x) to get the VM working. Not sure if it's related to your problems or not. Other comments: With VirtualBox (I've never tried HyperV, though I suspect it's similar)...

OpenSUSE Leap sounds great; I hope the hybrid update model works out. I don't like DRMed websites (and am adamantly against the encroachment of DRM standards on the open web), and that netflix only works on Chrome sends a huge alarm bell on that front. It's good that it's now working on Chrome, but ...

Yeah, thankfully the FCC seems to have broken that blockade; to some extent, anyway. The _(2014) link isn't working, and I can't figure out how to get it to work. On the plus side, Seattle has just voted for publicly-financed elections, and Ohio has just overwhelmingly banned gerrymandering. Still a...

Well... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verizon_Communications_Inc._v._FCC_(2014) And, of course, who can forget the disastrous https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citizens_United_v._FEC that now allows lobbyists to effectively spend unlimited amounts on their candidates? After all, more big money in electi...

There must be open source projects that emulate a flash player though, no? Gnash, Shumway, which tout compatibility with older versions, at least. I don't think there's enough will to get .flv's complicated format fully working (unlike .doc, for which there is a lot of will), and Gnash development ...

Could be. cho'gall, eK, Flaose most definitely took over cc314 from Geoff, and I'm almost certain they were forum admins, but I'm not positive on the actual question of founding. It's too bad that a lot of TMST content was flash-based. Many old wonderful flash videos (not only Keen-related) may end ...

In all seriousness, I think it's easy to assume that as a community, PCKF is official place for anyone and anything to talk about Keen. But it's really not, as Keening Product pointed out, its owned by someone (Flaose, I believe? I recall that KeenRush started the previous one on ezBoards). I loled...

Is it a hardware or a software problem? If it's software, maybe you could look into a Linux distribution (probably trying out a Live USB at first to see how well it works). If it's hardware, of course, that wouldn't help. It might be worth a look anyway, just because you can get a lightweight Deskto...
