Thought i'd stick my head out on this one too :D I agree with the previous poster.. modding is overrated, although much simpler than creating a game mechanism from scratch. I drew several of those isis foes, and some of the platform graphics, backgrounds etc before.. that was probably about 10 years...

I used to work on graphics seen in Isis.. I don't see the graphics as the main problem, but rather the motivation required to go through the entire creation process, no matter how large the creative team is (and the Isis team WAS kind of big...) My honest opinion is, that CK as a concept has no large-scale marketing potential for the copyright holders, and this is a major factor in why another Keen game will not see the daylight. That's why, I think they should get lenient on the rights and allow third parties use the concept as freeware.
