Re: Keen Awards 2019: Trophies

Splendid trophies, Lava89! While I was expecting a unique trophy for each award, they're still very excellent, not to mention that it might be a lot of work. It sure beats having none! The SGA letter idea is pretty cute, and the spinning trophies are very cool! I considered a unique trophy but that...

Re: Keen Awards 2019: Winners

That's good to know! I know Andrew Durdin put his trophy from Keen Awards 2002 into his website, and I think someone else had a trophy as their avatar (I forgot that person's name). Well, I have taken my trophies and then uploaded them into my website several days ago, right at its second anniversa...

Re: Keen Awards 2019: Winners

Official Trophies are UP! https://www.dropbox.com/s/5r4i4gs25n6heg6/th_KEEN%20AWARDS_2019.png?dl=1 I might ask Lava89 whether he would give out the source files for the trophies, so one could at least print out a trophy for themselves. Here is a link to the Keen models used: https://www.dropbox.com...

Keen Awards 2019: Trophies

Hi, Welcome to the Keen Awards 2019 Trophy Thread! https://www.dropbox.com/s/5r4i4gs25n6heg6/th_KEEN%20AWARDS_2019.png?dl=1 First off, I just want to say many thanks to Grandy02 for reaching out so I could dust off the old Yorp trophy and make a few new ones! If you're wondering what the inscriptio...

Re: Rad Rodgers - The return of the 90's era Apogee platformer?

I'm disappointed that Milo from Crystal Caves wasn't added! Or any of the ROTT characters.

But I'll still check this out and yes, I'll go there...

go search on "unnoficial keen games" for the download link and update notes :dopekeen :D
I always found it a good rule of thumb to make things as convenient as possible for people to find your stuff (that way they have no excuse when they won't play your games, haha).

Re: Last movie you saw

Wonder Woman. If other DC movies are as good as Wonder Woman I'll take back everything I said about DC. I thought it was great too! Reminds me of a mix between Thor and Captain America 1. I just saw Spider-Man: Homecoming and I'd say it's almost as good as the first 2 with Tobey Maguire-- really ma...

Keen 64: Release 8

Thanks for your awesome feedback, Plasma! In this new release I've panned the camera out now whenever you switch to the new control scheme. I might mimic some of the newer "3rd person" games make the camera zoom out when you walk / run and zooms back in when the player stops, but when I tried that, ...

Re: Source engine keen game

Actually Unity3D has a pretty good physics engine and if you think about it, what Half Life 2 let you do with the physics engine was pretty much limited to: "ragdoll" effects of slain enemies, moving some crates around, gravity gun shooting / sucking and being able to drive vehicles across landscape...

Re: OFF TOPIC THREAD: Where derailing the thread is impossible!

That's great to hear Nospike-- once you're liked in the company, be sure to do a fair amount of networking at the company so you can hit people up for a reference if you should ever try to get a job somewhere else. Not to be cynical about your relationships with people (i.e. trying to get something ...
