Nah, you should leave it in there! The soundwaves in Keen 3 kept going forever, and you'd run into them further down a level just like this. IMO, it would add a nostaligic touch.

The shots go through walls because the Meep sitting on the Bloog's back. In Keen 3, the sound waves traveled through walls, and about at that pace, so it makes sense that they do here, too.
