Alas, so arriv'd the end of an era!
Thanks for the effort, and good luck with your future project (sneak peeks when?).

Re: Crushers, a simple 2D game [updated, stable]
Thanks man. For some reason I never truly forgot about it despite not playing it in years. Figured I'd try again just for fun.Fleexy wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 20:20 Well this is a blast from the past! I hadn't thought about this game in years. Here's a working Dropbox link.

Anyone got a working download link for this game? It was a perfect minigame for killing time.

Re: Pyramid of the Forbidden on Hard
Has anyone been able to complete Pyramid of the Forbidden without saving? I did on Hard, many years ago. I even did something of a speedrun by making it in pace of a certain high-beat music track. It took me something between 50 and 100 tries. I had it recorded and uploaded on YouTube. Then I went ...

Re: Commander Keen: the comic strip
Now I'm imagining a scene where Keen has to take his shirt off, revealing his comically ripped musculature You know, Ned Flanders style.
Feel free to rip this idea, Mort

Re: Commander Keen: the comic strip
Just, having no meaningful support from anyone makes it hard to believe Keen's character here is so happy-go-lucky. It's hard to connect with and relate to that kind of thought process; it would take inhuman amounts of energy to maintain that much self-confidence. Maybe that's exactly why Billy goe...

Re: Foray in the Forest (development thread)
I have totally missed all the updates to this mod. Grandiose work! I like the XkyKeen sprite, it's a refreshing change, and honestly, the vanilla sprite just wouldn't fit the highly detailed surroundings. And comparisons of the graphics to Keen 59 are both accurate and praiseworthy ;) Please tell me...

Re: Keen 5 Most Favorite Level?
It's a tough choice, but I voted for Energy Flow Systems. It may not be aesthetically the most pleasing, but it plays really nicely. Even though you have to visit certain rooms in a certain order in order to proceed, the open layout gives you a lot of freedom to explore and approach those rooms. Als...

Re: The "I'm looking for a classic game" Thread
I find it interesting how you remembered the red and blue blocks (which are the object and goal of the puzzle, the most important elements), but attributed these important colors to the object and obstacles, which are the elements most interacted with -- the mind is a fascinating thing... anyway I'...

Hang on wait, that actually sounds like a game we had that was in the same package as SkiFree... they were on the same computer way back when... lemme look... "Microsoft Entertainment Pack..." Klotski? Ooh, it must've been this game, and that game pack. I recognize a few other games from ...

Re: The "I'm looking for a classic game" Thread
There are a couple of DOS games I remember vaguelly from my childhood, it'd be awesome if I could discover what they were. An Atari Breakout/Arkanoid clone. What I remember distinctly about the game was its mostly black background broken up by beautiful, shiny colored patterns, like stained glass. I...

Re: KeenWiki: Are graphics-only mods valid?
I don't understand why there even is a debate about this matter. It's an encyclopedia, so why go against its very purpose of documenting anything and everything Keen-related? This mission is even stated on the main page of the wiki: This wiki is intended to be a complete reference to the Commander K...
