Re: Is K:M dead?
Loved your Bio Menace mod back in the day, btw. Did you see the steam remaster coming out soon? Hi, thanks for the compliments about my BM1 level pack! I know certain levels may feel difficult, including also a level as early as the 4th, but looks like you remember a positive experience in general....

Re: Biomenace 2025 remastered version
Hey, thanks for creating this thread and linking to the store page! I'll add the following details. I cannot promise I'll write much more on the topic anytime soon. From what I think is currently known in the public: The main guy behind these efforts is Niko (lethal-guitar), the person behind the Ri...

Re: Bio Menace July 1992 beta, updated for February 2025
This is really cool, thanks for putting this together to show off the Turbo Shuttle. You're welcome! Is the code/implementation of the turbo shuttle in Biomenace derived from the moving platforms in Keen 4-6? Well, I think the reconstructed sources from K1n9_Duk3 show it, by comparing the contents ...

Re: Big List of Mods of Apogee/Epic/other 90s dos shareware games besides FPS
I've just updated this page: https://moddingwiki.shikadi.net/wiki/Bio_Menace/Mods In particular: - Added an entry for my Turbo Shuttle demonstration level, which is bundled with a re-release of the July 1992 beta. - Also added links to videos where previously not present. - Replaced the download lin...

Re: Big List of Mods of Apogee/Epic/other 90s dos shareware games besides FPS
So, I've thought of adding to the Modding Wiki missing entries for Jill of the Jungle and Xargon, thus making lists previously added here less needed, but looks like the author of Xargon: Uncharted Isle has already started. Another game I've considered tackling is Bio Menace, but I'm not sure about ...

Re: Xargon Uncharted Isle released 8/2/24
I've finished this mod as of yesterday. Clearly, great work can be found within what is known as the first released user-made episode/mod of Xargon. Before getting into more details, I have one question: This is an unofficial version of Uncharted Isle with various prototype levels in it Looks like t...

Re: New version of Xargon with level editor + bonus levels + extensive instructions released!
Fun fact since you mentioned the Xargon and Kiloblaster same music - some of the music in Xargon is almost the same as some of the music in Dr Riptide. Dan Froehlich did the music in both games and it seems he may have recycled some of his existing music when making new music. Interesting. I'm not ...

Re: New version of Xargon with level editor + bonus levels + extensive instructions released!
A lot of cool stuff has happened related to Xargon since this version with the old built in editor was released last year. I've stumbled upon your episode/mod while searching for related contents earlier, alongside jMod and xMod. One question coming to mind is which level editors are available for ...

Re: New version of Xargon with level editor + bonus levels + extensive instructions released!
So, not far from a year since the April 2024 release, I've finally given the modified episode 1 a try. I haven't really tried any editor, so there isn't much to add here for now. Hopefully without getting into clear spoilers yet, there's a simplified world map letting you quickly choose any of level...

Re: KeenWiki: Unresolved issues and missing downloads
First of all, thanks for going through the pages and taking care of bits like missing downloads. I'm not sufficiently familiar with the KeenWiki to know if the upload form also allows uploads of mods, level packs and the like via a Wiki account in general. There seems to be certain formatting in use...

Re: Jill of the Jungle Returns
Well, it's been a while since August 2019, but I've finally played and finished this level pack. I previously went through Jill Of The Jungle 4 and Jill in the Enchanted Palace of Infinite Choice during May 2021, according to saved games' timestamps. But, this one seemed to be missed. To be consiste...

Bio Menace July 1992 beta, updated for February 2025
The preparation of this release was initiated thanks to K1n9_Duk3. Download link: https://dukeworld.com/2001-current/apogee%20freeware/bh071592_updated_20250213.7z Back in August 2018, a July 1992 beta of Bio Menace, still titled Bio Hazard, was released for the game's 25th anniversary. Due to data ...

Re: Is K:M dead?
Thanks for the reminder, considered responding beforehand. I think people have already added enough on their own, say about Discord usage. Discord might be commonly used for gaming-related discussions, as an alternative to online forums (and to varying extents, to other services, centralized or not)...

Congratulations to the winners, and also to the remaining nominees (who differ from me)! Additionally, thanks Quillax for hosting this year, and also for nominating my updated level pack, "Aliens Ate My Babysitter ...Again 15th Anniversary", i.e., AAMBA15Y (somehow missed it earlier); Furt...

Re: Keen Awards 2024: Nominations
While I might usually not show that much forum activity, I think there was at least a bit more during the last months. So, I guess that I may still post something. I was a bit unsure if the following could be a bit similar to self-nomination, because I helped with testing works of the person. That s...
