Yo.

I still lurk around from time to time, although I usually stay logged off because the board doesn’t want to remember me for some reason.

On another note, when did Levellass become a mod? :p Probably because of this. Just as long as the spambots don't become mods too. Oh wait, you asked when, not why? No clue then, I don't visit this place very regularly anymore. Still, congrats LLa! (And welcome to a world of pain. Mwahahahaha.)

The maps were put together screenshot-by-screenshot some 15 or more years ago, mostly thanks to the efforts of a Keener named Maarten Witkam. Mind = blown. That sure took a lot of dedication, even if the result would be inevitably imperfect. Now I feel old, where's a geezer emoticon?! Here: :old It...

You forgot to include redundant and repetitive all-lowercase words all over your ad in order to trick search engines into increasing the post’s relevancy in search results (a.k.a. “Search Engine Optimization” (snorts)).

Either because they are awaiting the perfect opportunity to attack– I mean chime in, or want to keep track of unread topics and posts. Of course, the latter doesn’t really work very well with the ancient phpBB version used here and everything is marked as read when logging out.

Level 3 is really getting on my nerves. On every attempt, I seem to inevitably do something stupid that gets me killed or–on my now last attempt for a while–stuck. After many attempts, I got past the the green key door, entered the hole in the wall, and then accidentally ran into an evil pool with s...

I am excited to inform you all that, as of this night, I am the first person in Keen history to beat the Caves of Oblivion the long way. OH MY- I have modified the level Bah. Considering I wasted days and days playing that level trying to figure out some secret exit (before learning that I could ju...

Nope. I just linked to Silverex because it's the only free-as-in-beer version of Xchat for Windows I know. I use Irssi myself instead, a command line-driven client, on Linux. :P

Sand Yego certainly has an inaccessible watery area at the bottom in both halves, but unlike Lifewater Oasis', it doesn't contain drops and lives.

CKeen: Siiiiigh. The credits are IN the songs you know, Keenwave should display them. Some songs are by Bjorn Lynne, the Dr Who theme was by a friend of a friend and one of six she made up. One is from Duke 3D , one is based on a DBK character theme, only about half the music is original and none of...

From KeenWiki : Bitmaps: These are monochrome bitmaps 256 pixels tall. This is a visual representation of the sound's pitch; that is, it is what the sound looks like. This allows a modder to easily make sounds they have in their head, a rising tone is a / a beep is a - and so on. This is rather intu...
