Re: Suburb Shenanigans

Hi guys, long time no post from me. When K1n9_Duk3 was conducting these bug fixes for a bunch of mods we talked about the changes made which I was very happy with. The mod had its fair share of bugs when I released it and I am very grateful that K1n9_Duk3 addressed this mod with his updates as I am ...

Re: Operation Ocflore

Yes, but they're in the wrong place and therefore not applied by CKPATCH. You should have added them before the memory checking code. There's a "%end" command before my memory checking code, which means CKPATCH will stop parsing the file right there and ignore the rest of the patch file. ...

I'm not sure, I think from past experience with Suburbs they probably won't, worth a try though.

Re: Operation Ocflore

Something I noticed on the updated version is the song that originally played on Ancient Observatory (ocflore7) is now replaced with the Pelagic Pillars song (ocflore6), and the original Ancient Observatory song is no longer in the game. Since the patch file doesn't reflect this change and still sh...

Re: Operation Ocflore

I'm glad I left it a while before releasing a revision guys, thanks for your input and feedback! There's always things that I miss and I'm getting this thing tweaked and ready for an update. Random question, why is the palette alteration done with an external program, rather than a patch? This also ...

Re: Operation Ocflore

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that anyone can feel free to use any of the graphics in those bitmaps for their own projects. There's a fair amount of stuff in there that I didn't end up using in the game for whatever reason. again, your art development folder is a blessing. thanks so so much for sharin...

Re: Operation Ocflore

Thanks Nisaba, I've fixed all of those issues just now! Not sure how to tackle the trees blending in, might see if other people think the same as I don't find them too difficult to differentiate from the background. ps.: the setting of this level reminds me a lot of the Ancient Ruins from Disney's 1...

Re: Operation Ocflore

Regular scrolling in the underwater level (L17) instead of the world-map scrolling. Is that the intended behavior or was this just a side-effect of enabling regular level exits for this level? Yeah, an unfortunate side-effect of enabling a regular level exit! pls let me nit-pick a lil bit. In the h...

Re: Operation Ocflore

About that schoolfish hitbox issue: The schoolfish uses "full" clipping, which means that the hitbox for tile collision detection is hard-coded in the executable. The sprite hitbox is only used for sprite collision detection. The flying bluebird also uses full clipping while in fly mode. ...
