Re: Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure II: HUMANIZED!!! (W.I.P.)

It's amazing what you will find when you edit a game... FOUR of the collectable object graphics render upside down: Cyan and White Diamond Red Turtle-Shell-like jewel Blue Jewel with Patterned Center Gray Diamond (I corrected for this one, because I knew it was upside down before.) They're mostly fo...

Re: Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure II: HUMANIZED!!! (W.I.P.)

A ton of really early DOS games won't run correctly on fast Pentiums. A few games like Pharaoh's Tomb , Arctic Adventure , Monuments of Mars , Dark Ages , Halloween Harry etc. won't even start at all on 133 - 266 MHz Pentiums, so a Pentium III would be way too fast for those. Other games have some ...

Re: Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure II: HUMANIZED!!! (W.I.P.)

OK, been off the project for a while now. I've been working on other projects, one of which has been perpetually hitting a wall, but might help a whole bunch with the mod. I've built a custom MS-DOS Windows 98SE gaming rig! Now I can test the game in its native environment, without DOSBOX! (That's n...

Re: The Crazy Komet.

Much better. :disguised The only last detail you are missing is that the racing stripes extend up to the top fin, but not to the rocket engines on the back. Other than that, it's perfect!

Re: The Crazy Komet.

Ok. How's this? https://i.postimg.cc/ht3GsyMQ/ck4patch-041.png Please tell me if its still wrong because I do want to get it right. The engine units are close (the blue part is supposed to wrap around the back), but the battery core is not the right shape, and the laser barrels are still not the ri...

Re: The Crazy Komet.

BTW, I like the way you did the BWB, but I noticed some of the details are not correct. The reason why you might have made them differently is because of limitations in the way that I drew them. If you want, I can give you some of the sources of inspiration: This is what replaced Keen's Engine Batte...

L'il Ampton.

They're so cute, even when they get stunned! (Although their charm goes away when they head towards your way when you're hanging on a pole...)

Re: Atroxian Realm (Version 1.1 Released)

Hey, no worries. As far as I'm concerned, the game was already complete in terms of story art. But, since you had that last partially finished image, I thought it would be a shame to let it go to waste and not find a way to include it. It would have been cool to see those other two images, but I th...

Re: Atroxian Realm (Version 1.1 Released)

Yeah, I'm sorry, Gridlock. :no Life has caught up to me. Lots of things have happened. I've had a lot of projects (including retrocomputing) and even got a new job that helps me with language study, and pays actual money. :P Plus I lost my subscription to Adobe, so that means that I've had to take a...

Re: Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure II: HUMANIZED!!! (W.I.P.)

Oof! When I saw you posted in this topic, I thought I would read: finally complete! Was not disappointed. Btw what do you mean with not being able to put preview because of forum settings? Well, I'm having to do a lot by myself with a game engine that hasn't been studied yet. These graphics are NOT...

Re: Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure II: HUMANIZED!!! (W.I.P.)

Oof, 3 Years since I posted here? Dang. Anyways, yes, Cosmo II has been in-progress in the interim, but it's mostly been hacking graphics together with a loose plan. (But lots of progress has been made.) Other problems included me losing my subscription to Adobe in 2017, but getting my editing abili...

An Infamous Tune, in a Nostalgic Way...

Yeah, it's been a while, what with the previous forum going down the tubes. Yes, I have been working on Cosmo II, but it's been slow. I lost my previous subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, as I use Adobe Fireworks CS6 to make the graphics. But I have been able to roll back to Adobe CS4, which work...

Unfortunately, I never took an interest in programming, except for simple programming in QBasic. Assembly, while I understand the concept, and what goes into making an assembly program, is completely alien to me when it comes to actually making one. However, I did actually start making pixel art aro...
