Funkadelic - Friday Night, August 14th

Yeah I don't have any games consoles so can't actually try it!

Please post a youtube video. Is this on an emulator or real NES? If so please post video of actual console rather than just screen capture, as that would be really cool. I agree with the "poetic" aspect of this, and applaud your ...

It's up to you to remain conscious of what you're doing with your phone. Yes, society has attached us to them with largely sinister intent, replacing basic daily paperwork and admin with a smartphone-related function in almost all instances. This still renders the phone a tool, even if it's also a ...

Your gig sounds amazing! Glad you're having fun playing some good music with your band! You should upload more on your Torchmusic channel soon too!

I've seen Peter Hook and the Light! Very enjoyable band to watch and an essential counterpart to Bernard Sumner's outfit who of course remain under the ...

Congratulations to the winners! And thank you to Quillax for emerging from the woodwork at exactly the right time to make the awards happen this year! Organisational stuff is not my main thing but if you ever feel like the awards are going to not happen one year, feel free to ask for my help!

Let ...

This is good fun! The differences are very noticeable upon loading the game but actually become more subtle when you get involved in playing through the levels. The physics is interesting - definitely different, throwing my off slightly especially when it comes to pogo accuracy. Though of course I ...

Imgur is blocked in the UK now apparently! Part of the clampdown on dodgy content no doubt. Is it blocked in anyone else's country? Google tells me the same is true in Ireland. Might happen in Australia soon...

I'm sure your handiwork was wonderful!

Just been to see Napalm Death (second time!) in London (Camden's Electric Ballroom, a lovely venue) as part of their Campaign for Musical Destruction event. This was really incredible. This is a recurring event they've devised which showcases major bands who in their words "you don't get to see ...

Been watching a few Schwarzenegger classics recently namely "Total Recall" and "The Running Man". Truly excellent films, and of an era which is extremely synergistic thematically with the classic DOS game era that we know and love. There is a lot of substance to these film storylines, and the ...

I like your progress - it's looking much more coherent graphically than the earlier incarnations! Though it's diverging further from the early-mid 90s VGA look, and converging towards the ~2006-2007 look from sites like Miniclip, the latter is an era for which I have significant nostalgia and thus I ...

Just downloaded and played a bit. I don't recall playing any earlier version of this though I could be wrong. It's really beautiful, the graphics including sprites are outstanding. It definitely carries that Keen2 vibe which I love.

Obviously there is some work to be done on it and I'm glad you ...

Looks great! I have no familiarity whatseover with the setup/engine you're using for this, but if this is a recreation of galaxy from first principles then it's a very impressive start.

Dark's comment about jumps and gravity is of course correct, but you will undoubtedly be well aware of that and I ...

I like it, Berserk Bard! Really well played and produced! Is it all performed by you (as in one person?) It's paying back into metal the debt owed by the composers of Doom, Duke etc. Great to have keen references too! At first I struggled to search you on my Spotify but realised I was writing ...

Happy New Year everyone (even if it's a borderline-late message).

Always interesting to year your stories about your life, Soul Monster. I'm really glad you are doing well with your art. Art is really a very valuable pursuit and I spend more and more of my time viewing art in galleries. Finally ...

Interesting! Assuming your absolute confidence in having played it in the 1990s, that really narrows the options.

Commander Keen modding itself didn't exist in any form akin to what we know before around 2002. Since then several Christmas mods were made starting around 2004-2005 (including my own ...
