Public Commander Keen Forum

Back in the Spring I saw Buckethead live for the 3rd time! While Buckethead sounded great and gave it his all, this show was kind of a letdown for me.

It doesn't bother me that the venue was smaller this time, or that Dan Monti, Buckethead's drummer, was absent this time, meaning Bucket just played ...

Really sad to hear about his passing. It sounds like he led a very interesting life, reading up on everything he did outside of video game soundtracks.

Been listening to his Commander Keen soundtracks a lot lately in commemoration.

R.I.P. Bobby Prince. Your soundtracks will always be some of my ...

HAPPY KEEN DAY EVERYONE!!! :birthday

Congratulations to all the winners of the Keen Awards this year! Also, thank you to everyone who voted for my art as well! And of course, a big thank you to Quillax for continuing this annual tradition! It's great that some things have been modified in the ...

Imgur is blocked in the UK now apparently! Part of the clampdown on dodgy content no doubt. Is it blocked in anyone else's country? Google tells me the same is true in Ireland. Might happen in Australia soon...

I'm sure your handiwork was wonderful!

Interesting. I just looked into this, from ...

Looks like most of the stuff I would've nominated already has been. I'm probably going to update this list before voting starts, but here goes:

4.4: Best Work Of The Hiatus

Commander Keen's Valentine Bash by ...

Like Syllypryde said, it would be nice to see all of these songs put back into the game. In the release thread K1n9_Duk3 says it's doable, and apparently messaged you on what it would take to do so. I personally think all the songs are really good, and having a wide range of songs gives each stage a ...

Happy Christmas and St Stephen's Day!

I had a lovely day yesterday, walked through some of the nicest parts of London and then had a delicious Christmas dinner in the pub. I had trepidation that quality would be mediocre but actually it was fantastic. Though the bill of £100 per person is a lot ...

I'm with Mobiethian, that is a solid list Syllypryde!

Just like Mobiethian, I've mostly been listening to Christmas music. My personal favorite is the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack.

For New Year's, I've also been listening to different renditions of Auld Lang Syne, as well as a playlist of ...

HAPPY NEW YEAR PCKF!!!

I see New Year's as a time to reflect on the year's events, and to see how far one has come since the start of it. A chance to look back on what went well, and what didn't, and to learn from the year's missteps to make the next one better.

This was an...interesting year ...

Hi everyone! I mentioned earlier that I would post some Keen art in this thread after Christmas, and although the piece I wanted to include didn't get finished in time, I still have something new to share to close out 2025. Hope you all like it! To keep the aesthetic of the official games, I adhered ...

P.S. I meant to have some Keen art ready for this thread, but I couldn't complete it in time. Check back in a couple days and I'll post it in this thread ...

Thanks for uploading this Benvolio! I would not have known about this had it not been for your post.

It's always nice to see Commander Keen get some attention on a huge website like that. I wonder if anyone else has been saying or doing anything Keen related to celebrate the series's anniversary ...
