The Martian was my most recent read, and god was it a good one. Everything was so well thought-out and explained, that it really felt like a possibility that someone could survive on Mars for that long.

Used to love the Aladdin game for the SNES - always thought the parkour moves and the parachute were super cool. I'll be damned if I ever got past that third stage though, god. Watching it back still gives me trauma.

Woah, someone really rewrote the entire source code for 3 whole games? That actually is crazy... No surprise that it won the award, very impressive!

Have to agree with the others here. Forums and Discord aren't as comparable to me as it seems. Forums may be a bit more dated now, and definitely don't qualify as instant messaging, but they're definitely more permanent and long-term and have a stronger sense of community.

Definitely a good theory! Maybe someone should blindly play through the games in that order and compare notes with someone who played the games chronologically, and see how it stacks up. I dunno, just spitballing really.
