Deep Purple - Made in Japan : Well actually I got this one like a year ago but it's probably the best live album I've ever heard in my life and I think it deserves a plug here. I've been getting into a lot of Deep Purple (and some Uriah Heep also) recently. Definitely underappreciated among the ear...

Happy Keen Day kids! So many releases this year, it's really heartening to see :) Makes me feel like I should get a jump on one or two or my stalled projects (though not till I finish my Stardust map.) Can't wait to give some of these a look.

Didn't discover this group till recently, but they're pretty awesome. sunn O))) - White2 : Maybe my favorite sunn O))) album now, especially the last track. Progresse...

The unused "pile of meat" Doom sprite is pretty icky, even by Doom's standards.

It won't play in any of my browsers :( And I'm too ignorant to figure out how to run the version for my computer either.

Huzzah!!!!

Yeah I've been in that situation before. I find small tasks frustrating or impossible to focus on, then I get frustrated over my frustration and lack of focus which causes even more lack of focus and thus more frustration, Ã￾¸Ñ‚Ã￾´...it won't last ;) I'm just happy the project's getting on its feet.

My experience with coding started probably ~17 years ago with Beginning Programming for Dummies teaching me Liberty BASIC, which while not terribly useful on its own certainly taught me some basic coding concepts pretty handily. Of course PHP is necessarily different in a lot of ways (I elated PHP 6...

I think for the most part people are right, that mods much more competently filled most of the niche that fangames had been filling, even more so once patching really came into its own. These days it almost seems like you could recreate Isis II as a mod. Almost. ;) Most fangames I remember attempted...

The Lost Age of Keen Fangames

I was thinking about it and came to realize that nobody in the Keen community really makes fangames (aka not mods) anymore. There are certainly a couple of serious projects, like Keen 2.5D, in the works, but there was a time over a decade ago when it seems like the Keen community was awash with fang...

I'm at least 99% sure it was in Fort Cavort. Given how many years I played the version where that map was broken (which is not the one the KeenWiki displays) I suspect it is a version thing after all. In which case, I had no idea that would've changed between versions...anyway, I think "SILO" in tha...

Indeed, that sign appears in one level, too...is it Fort Cavort? At least in some versions, I think. I have never figured out what it means, though for the longest time I thought it just said "SIGN" (guess I transliterated the first two letters and then stopped paying attention or something.)
