There's a new version out, with support for editing the bonus level layouts. Newspaz has also completed the biggest JJ1 levelpack to date (a whole episode's worth), showing off how much stuff can be modified.

I don't think that the lack of documentation should be too big of a deterrent, by the way. For the simple purposes of just editing layouts of existing levels, without adding new enemies or anything, J1E is quite easy to understand and it's not very easy at all to mess things up. You can still buy the downloadable games, at least for the time being. They're not shipping physical product but Joe advises people to buy anything they want from here as soon as possible in case it goes down too.

I don't know about Monster Bash, but Hocus Pocus was made by an outside developer and Apogee rarely gets games into freeware when they have so many different people to talk to about rights. If you're able to run shareware versions, though, you should be able to run them registered...

The level editor is also included, along with two tilesets, although it's perfectly possible to make more. (You can't chan...

Just like szevvy said, although naturally the data has to be able to move backward as well as forward. I also played your music in the background during much of the development process, naturally excepting the times I was running Hocus for tests.

Re: Hocus Pocus Music Engine Appreciation Thread

I had the idea for this thread before the forums were upgraded... This is basically just a thread to share the songs that you've imported into Hocus Pocus. http://www.filenanny.com/files/46b88e00dcbc35146/hocus_music_engine.zip There is a ZIP file of the WAVs and MP3s that I've recorded in DOSBox t...
