If we're talking about just when we play, I use one of three setups, depending on which game I'm playing. Only two ever come into play for Commander Keen. For the Vorticon engine and games where only two keys do something other than movement, Z is for Jumping and X is for whatever the other action i...

Until mass-produced ebook readers are cheap enough to be cheaper than mass-produced paper books, people are still going to demand paper books.

And I don't know about you all, but I will always demand paper books.

I don't have a USB Keyboard, but I do have Anvil Studio that I use. While the full suite isn't freeware, I'm fairly certain that what you're wanting out of it is completely covered under its free download.

With most, if not all, of the levels where you've got a chunk of area to explore and X number of keys to find before you can leave (Like 2.9), you'll find that (A) there is an extra key most of the time, and (B) nobody realizes this because the extra key is not in the path that they usually take to ...

Pokota's Attempt (Medium Difficulty)

I'll edit in my death numbers as I go; I'll be starting from Keen 4 and then coming back around. I'll only be doing this post on medium (as I have yet to complete two of the four Guardian levels in Keen 5 on hard without In Level Saving - Regulation and Neutrino, blaaaaaaah). My next post will be Ha...

Like, what, each planet has four security thingies guarding a part of the UTC? There's really only so much you can do within the engine plot-wise, and five Keen5 mods for the same story is a bit much (especially since doing it that way would lead to effectively a Keen5 clone as the endpiece)

Graphical and musical overhaul so that it better fits with DitD and BotB, and the moving of the Green Gem Brombo in Mushroom Forest; those plus some other cosmetic fixes are all I really see Ceilick doing to the mod.

I'm more trying to get an idea of what people here are looking for in certain environments rather than trying to create one perfect track. I'm not a professional composer - far from it - but if I know what people expect from a bit of background music, then that gives me a starting point for when I d...

What do you listen for in Video Game Music?

I like to think of myself as an amateur composer. What I'd like is a little bit of feedback on Video Game Music. What do you listen for in Video Game Music? Does the genre of the game make a difference? If the game is part of a series, do you listen for familiar songs? What songs do you like most fr...

All I ask that the TKOK revision keep in mind is that the Brombo in Mushroom Forest that's guarding the green key be reconsidered for easy mode. I have no problems with the one guarding the switch even on hard, but the one next to the green key has always given me more trouble than he's worth.

Just made my 413'th post on a forum centered around a different id software game. Since 413 is the reverse of 314, and 314 is 100 x 3.14, and Doom is pretty much the opposite of Commander Keen, I figured this was relevant.
