Re: The new new music thread

I've recently picked up the latest Jean Michel Jarre album "Oxygene 3". It follows the tradition of sorts where he adds to his original Oxygene album in 1976, of course this is the second of these revisions and extends Oxygene to now 20 tracks of music. Here's a couple of the best pieces; Oxygene, P...

What's up with King? Are all these Candy Crush games in-depth looks into the inner workings of Candyland or is it just naked profiteering?

I recently picked up Melody's Escape on Steam - a pretty simple music-based platformer game, the idea of music-based games greatly interest me. One of the original songs that I've grown to enjoy is the main menu piece Regain Control by Shirobon, it's one of a few provided pieces of music designed to...

Cool, good to know. :) And yes I do mean that, why a billion is a million-million and a trillion is a billion-billion in England, yet the order of magnitude in America seems to increase every thousand.

Just a couple of random questions but these have slightly bothered me for years; firstly why is it that a number of words are spelt differently in America and American held territories? Was there some sort of evolution in the language at the time or was there something else like anti-English sentime...

Wow, that's a really good article. [EDIT] Several of them have PHDs, and it's not that hard to predict how a state will vote, this isn't one guy, it's a demographic. ... Oh I know many of the staff there are very intelligent, but I haven't seen that in particular so it actually is a wonder to me. :o...

I won't deny that during the lead up to the election I had some genuine fears for Trump, especially with his temper and outbursts he struck me as rather unstable and it wasn't helped that he seemed to attack and alienate a great deal of social groups. One thing that struck me about the last couple o...

Holy cow that thing blew my mind, I mean I knew beforehand that Scientologists were pretty nutty but the movie really does try to go to g...
