Possible Trip to Germany

I am tentatively planning a trip to Germany in early- or mid-October. Depending on how much time I can get off work, I would like to be gone for 8-10 days.Since the board counts Germans and maybe those who have traveled to Germany as members, I am looking for ideas of places to go and things to do. ...

Re: Songs with cool music videos

Anderson and Roe play Der Erlkoenig; bizarreness runs amok in the Steinway factory.

Whoa, I'm late. I've downloaded and gotten through part but not all of this. My thoughts thus far: It makes me think of Keen Dreams (lollipops in the trees), Word Rescue (some of the water effects, I think), and Jazz Jackrabbit (doesn't that game have bees or hornets?) at times. I like the variety o...

Thanks, TroublesomeKeen. I zoomed in a little bit so I could get a better view of the texture, and it looks great.

If you want to think me stupid for not considering what GoldenRishi said, go ahead. I did something similar in Paint It once, so it probably should have occurred to me.

Dome of Darkness Background

Is it possible to get just the purple-brain background from the Domes of Darkness? I'd like to use it as a desktop background.

If I may be forgiven for going back on topic, I'd like to report that I got the games on my dad's computer but have not been able to figure out how to get the old selection interface up. Instead I have put shortcuts to a few games on the desktop. It might be the best I can get at this point because ...

I've read that this has worked for other people. I found that I didn't have all the files copied in the same place. I got the installer to launch and get part of the way through the installation. It stopped, saying that there was a file transfer error (number 37) and to check the destination directo...

Installing Windows 95 Software on Windows 7

I have some old games from when my family had Windows 95, and I'd like to install them on my Windows 7 laptop. I tried and got a message saying that there was an issue. Some research unearthed this , which said that the issue was the 16-bit installer rather than the game. I tried to follow the instr...

I checked, but the patch I need is not on there and probably doesn't exist.

I think this game was made with version 1.4. I have 1.5, and the game won't recognize it. Grrr. I am uncomfortable with the idea of downloading the 1.4 version, and I want to know if there's a patch to convert 1.5 to 1.4.

Thanks to Dr. Colossus and The Terror from Outer Space, I have been introduced to Die Toten Hosen. I'm still learning German, so I was glad to have found a German group that is not Rammstein (not into heavy metal not from the periodic table). My biggest complaint is that the diction can be a bit slo...

My apologies for posting in an older thread, but it's been a while since I remembered to check this place out. I enjoyed everyone's miskeenceptions and want to add some of my own. My sister and I were discussing the SGA signs in Keen 4 when we were younger. She insisted that they gave Keen's bedtime...
