http://www.rules.house.gov/Media/file/PDF_112_2/LegislativeText/CPRT-112-HPRT-RU00-HR3523.pdf For those who want to read the bill, here it is. I think that if we are going to make any sort of dent in piracy, we are going to have to place limits on the internet. It seems to me that people do not rea...

I came across 'scilicet" in Latin II and took an immediate liking to it. I can sink my teeth into it, which is useful when I'm mad. It's not a swear word but a contraction of "scire licet."

I tried the first episode of this series last year, and I thought it was difficult. I don't think I finished the second level. The whole idea of pickle beings fainting when hit by vegetables seemed to be a stretch, like Karen Crowthar was trying to make the game as violent as possible yet still kid-...

A few night ago, I had an actual Commander Keen dream. I was playing through a game and kept dying in a certain area. It was a tunnel but looked like a solid wall in places, like some areas in the TUIT trilogy. At last I jumped on a conveniently-placed pole and looked down. I saw a blue thing moving...

I've never watched handball before. It looks like a combination of basketball and what most people on Earth call football.
On a slightly related topic, I'm in a beginning racquetball class right now, and I am enjoying it. Does anyone else play racquetball?

If a running footer in an Uncle John's Bathroom Reader is to be believed, in ancient China, doctors were paid only when patients were healthy. That would be something to try. I agree with Scarlet on the whole prevention issue. For example, I think if schools had at least 15 minutes of recess each da...

I played through this yesterday and enjoyed it. The level design is phenomenal. I felt like I took shortcuts through some levels, especially the water one.
Mortimer is alive? Nooooo...
I also feel that Keen is too rude.

While playing Dead in the Desert with my sister, we had trouble with the lava falls in (I believe) the Molten Passage. We kept bouncing off the ceiling when trying to reach the platform between the falls. We made it eventually. I suppose there need to be a challenge, but I don't know if that could b...

I find that I like sim and tycoon games and can spend hours on them. I'm currently working on Fish Tycoon. Even though I run it at twice the normal speed, it's still a slow game, so there's not much to do at one time. It's a good game for people who don't have a lot of time for games. I enjoy playin...

I'm currently listening to the Keen 9 midis and mp3s. "The Leaky Gremlin" is great as an midi. I'm even warming up to "Void." A lot of the outtakes are good. I like "Untitled," Untitled 2," and "Parting Shot" by Umbrella, to name two. I have the midis on ...

Microsoft Word Equation Editor 2010 Shortcuts

Are there any keyboard shortcuts out there for the equation editor in Word 2010? The school computers use that (:dead ), while my computer has Word 2003. The shortcuts from 2003 don't work in 2010, so I work a lot more slowly.

@Scarlet: Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to make sure I remember that book so I can read it at the end of the semester. @Kuliwil: Thanks for the compliment. I think you would understand my essay. I mentioned Commander Keen and made references to Sim City 3000. If you want something you wou...
