Re: The things/places in Keen you were most afraid of?
Yep, jacks are a real thing , though I don't think I ever played with them. The Garg statue in the Fourth Red Rock Shrine was terrifying to me too. I was hesitant to enter any of the shrines on the second continent because I couldn't remember which one had that statue. Ironically, I was scared of Fl...

This happened to me once too; a post that quoted me was edited by its author. Maybe that's what triggers the re-ping?Keening_Product wrote: ↑Sat Nov 10, 2018 8:11 That reminds me of a bug I've been experiencing lately: I have been getting notifications for tags in old posts. Only a few of them, but it was a bit odd.

Re: Welcome to the migrated PCKF!
Sorry about that. There was a bit of a snag during the update and I had to restore the PCKF phpBB files from the Keen Modding ones. As you discovered, I forgot to copy the smilies' images back over. Fixed now

The upload-image functionality is disabled (and to my knowledge always has been), but you can always host the images somewhere else (I like Imgur) and embed them with [img] tags.

As requested! Download the Abiathar/Tharify environment for InsaLev3. As usual, edit k3.adeps with Abiathar, save in Abiathar, run vortify.bat, then play your level in DOSBox. For your convenience, all legal tiles are already placed in the level.

Re: Coming summer 2018: Keen Modding Live!
I forgot to reply to this for a while, oops! Here's an update: Abiathar Live Studio is essentially done. Cloning/forking is working and everything seems to be smooth, with the possible exception of the version tree. I'll revisit the UI there if that becomes necessary. When we get to the beta-testing...

I believe she is busy handling some important real-life business. Her contributions here are amazing, and while I hope she returns once real-life things have settled down, she has no obligation to continue providing patching services. Everyone (including the other forum administrators) is here volun...

Re: (Keen 4 version 1.1) Impossible Pogo Trick and ammo count
Welcome to the PCKF!
I think the maximum ammo is 32767 (0x7FFF), since adding one more to that would overflow the 16-bit variable used to store the ammo count, causing it to wrap around to -32768.

Re: [v2.11.1] Abiathar: The superior Keen Galaxy editor
UPDATE v2.11.1: improvements to various things The Level Inspector will now warn you if it determines that you've probably used the wrong sort of switch (foreground/bridge vs. infoplane/goplat) for the target. It will also warn you if you forget to put a link on a switch. As suggested by Nisaba, th...

To store the current clipboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Up and select a slot, using the mouse or the numeric keypad. To retrieve a clipboard sl...

Re: Short Circuit Oracle (My Keen Galaxy modding debut!!)
Regarding the mooning crash, I'm pretty sure you need infoplane tile 004Bh somewhere in the level to cache Keen's mooning sprites . I haven't got a chance to actually play yet, but I'm already super impressed! Galaxy modding is challenging; it's really amazing that you did all this on your first pro...

Re: The Sunnylands (K4 levelpack)
I finished the pack on Normal, except for any secret level(s). I'll add my compliments to those above -- this is an excellent level pack, and especially amazing for being your first Galaxy modding production. Overall the difficulty was low, but there were one or two points of fair challenge. There's...
