Was just going through some old emails from 2005 that I'd exchanged with the author of a Jill of the Jungle website ( http://members.tripod.com/classic_roach/id14.html ) and one of our discussions was actually about this editor. I'd since completely forgotten about its existence and probably never r...

That sounds awesome! Had you ever spoken to Tom prior to the lunch invitation? Either way, like Para said, its pretty classy of him to meet up with a fan like that.

At about 1:48 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaL59Iis_mY&feature=youtu.be&t=1m47s) the big monster in the green slime looks like he actually eats the guy standing in the slime. Does that 'interaction' (for lack of a better word) also take place in the actual games? I don't remember anyone a...

I first signed up to PCKF when I was only 13. I lurked for probably a good year prior to that, as I remember there was a warning when signing up that you had to be 13 years or older. I didn't want to cause any trouble with the Internet Police, so I waited until I was 13 to actually create an account...

There's a few Dominos and a Pizza Hut stores near me. I used to go to Pizza Hut quite a bit back when they had all-you-can-eat restaurants, but the only Pizza franchise stores near me only have tiny little stores where the only option is to take away. There's a great independent store nearby though ...

Thanks heaps for the links! I missed out on iDOS by a couple of hours last time so I immediately grabbed this one. The controls aren't nearly as bad as Duke3d for iphone. I've had Dosbox on my Android phone for a while now and it's fun to bust out some Commander Keen or Jazz Jackrabbit on the phone ...

My family had a PS1 back when I was growing up, and I remember never having much of an interest in it until we rented a copy of Spyro the Dragon. I was addicted to that game and the two Spyros that followed it for PS1. They all certainly look their age, but I guess having grown up with them I don't ...

Whenever I'm on the internet I make sure to check Cracked.com as well as Lamebook.com (probably not as much recently, but for a while they had some pretty entertaining submissions on a regular basis). I get hooked on tvtropes whenever I happen to end up there.

I check here pretty often too.

Disco-veggies is a disco remix of Eat Your Veggies. It was made by TMST for his Disco Keen web page many moons ago. I don't have a copy on hand, but perhaps this information is helpful for anyone else trying to search for a copy. I'm going to have a look around and see if I still have it somewhere.

I'm pretty sure there's a trope about being unable to resist reading 500 trope articles on every visit to that site.

I just opened the Commander Keen tropes page. There goes the rest of my night!

I'm probably the one you're thinking of Rorie. I used to be Nospike88 from around 2001 to 2003 and Spikenexus since then. I haven't had much of a presence around here (or the internet in general) for a few years though. I admit that when I saw a post from Nospike, combined with the display picture, ...

Just recently I made recordings of a few of the PC speaker sounds to use as ringtones for my phone, so now every time I get a message, it sounds like I've just scored an extra life from Keen 4! It's surprising how many people hear the ringtone and recognize that it's from Commander Keen. As for my f...

Would the various Keen Awards held be worthy of note in/on a timeline? Or the few 24-Hours-of-Keen competitions that were held occasionally back in 2004 - 2005? Does anyone have any records of when each of those took place? I was going through the old PCKF board recently and as far back as I could g...

There's a shot of the backyard in the end sequence of Keen 2, and I think another in that scrolling story/demo sequence bit of Keen 4 also.

Just watched the videos on youtube and I hate to sound repetitive, but I think they look awesome.
