Nice, I always liked that articles thing, this gives an air of *real science* to the community. I've been thinking about doing some in detail reviews of mods I played through, this may be a good place to put them, I'll let you know when I'm done with an article. I have to confess this was the first ...

Yeah, there are some great ideas here.
After all the parts don't look like rotten flesh, they look rather fresh and clean, so the manufacturing idea fits in well.

I'd go with dead parts, because neither of them is moving or doing anything to keen, so what's the point reaching out of the depths with your claws if you aren't gonna use them to catch something.

It's even more amazing that the game seems to fascinate younger people as well. I mean, we grew up with keen, so we kinda have to like it. But Vikingboybilly wrote he played it first last year!!
I'm happy to see that the Keen spirit is still working!

The biggest creature in the Keeniverse

I was just wondering: What kind of creature this could be, that provided all the claws and eyeballs. It seems the Bloogs were able to kill it.

Do you guys think, that the eyeball and the claws belong to the same creature?

Although Malvineous really has a point, the example with Germany and Australia isn't good. The name of a country differs in each language, but that is because of its history, not only: Germany is called Allemagne in French, and totally different names in Polish or Italian. That's because it wasn't a...

So it's official... well maybe you'll someday be missing the whole modding thing and you'll find your way back... maybe do a little Keen 1-3 mod, that isn't so much work.
Be sure to play our mods in the future, will you?

Thanks for your unfinished mod.

I knew it! I'm one of those older Keeners, I'm over 3 years older than Spleen.... But just as him I think you never grow out of it if you like it. When I ask my friends (sadly I know no Keener) they also play some of their old games like Super Mario or Monkey Island... Most of it I owe to Dosbox, gr...

I'm not bumping this because I want to remind Xky, but to vote for his favourite. A year or two ago I would have voted Keen 2 last, after all it was the last episode I played in my youth and I think I never completed it back then. but after I did some modding I now clearly vote for Keen 2. The Vorti...

So I guess the tendency is that most Keen fans here like metal and gothic kinds of music, apart from the Jethro Tull thing, but that fits in as well because it's just as complex and technical as Metal. The last thing I saw was a Band I know from my hometown wich are called the Mars Mushrooms. ( http...

I'd rather go with the fourth and sixth planet in the system thing. Why should the Vorticons have 5 predating homeworlds? I've never heard of something like that. If you compare the "planets with number" of Commander Keen with other places like Star Wars or Star Trek you will find that the...

As mortimerinblack stated before I think the monsters with random moving patterns and sort of AI are the most dangerous, for you cannot forsee their moves. I voted for the Vorticon Elite, because it can also run very fast if it spots you. The Vortininja is hard as well, but at least he doesnt shoot....
