All the Keen patches are unofficial. Id Software didn't create patches until Doom. Although there's a patch for updating Wolfenstein 3-D v1.1 to v1.2 created by Apogee.

I found 1, 2, 3 videos about the 2D Catacomb games on YouTube. The last one shows even that end screen, which mentions a level editor.
