You're quoting a nazi? Wow. This idiom is quite old - it certainly predates Nazis. So yeah, the Warsaw Pact dissolved in 1991... but there were lots of new threats in the world (Gadaffi being just one of them), so NATO definitely has a purpose. NATO's new purpose is to act as a global "scarecr...

Scarlet, you seem to have forgotten why NATO was created in the first place - to counter the threat of the Warsaw Pact. So, it is no wonder that it is an offensive military organisation. It had to be, if it were to protect the west from the Soviet steamroller. I don't agree that they do more harm th...

I don't know if you've heard about what Gadaffi did to six medics from my country. They were accused of infecting hundreds of children with HIV, kept imprisoned for 9 years and sentenced to death by firing squad. The medics were, of course, innocent, and the whole trial was an obvious farce. Gadaffi...

About Valid Question #8 - I don't think that's either concrete or ice. It could easily be limestone, which is often abundant in watery areas. It has such a strange color because... well, when you work with EGA you don't really have many options, right? :dopefish And by the way, the game's Help secti...

Excellent, tulip :p

Maybe it wasn't as good as other strategies of that period, but it still has some kind of appeal. I guess it's the overall dark and gloomy atmosphere. And the creepy animal noises you hear during the night on Mars...

Descent? Of course :p Okay, here is something more difficult (maybe): In the not-so-distant future, humanity desperately needs to colonize Mars in order to survive (Earth has become way too polluted). However, an alien race that lost their homeworld many centuries ago are also planning to make Mars...

I loved this show as a kid. I wished I could possess those planeteer rings - to do good deeds on one hand, and to punish other kids who annoyed me on the other :crazy

I remember there was a Captain Pollution in one episode. The ultimate anti-hero.

I've been playing a game these days... an old DOS classic with unique movement options. An alien virus has infected mining robots throughout the Solar system, turning them into calculating vicious killers. This invasion force may soon attack the Earth directly, unless some brave hero (or professiona...

This effect can be produced in the "Emerald City" (the one blocking the way to the teleporter). There is a Garg hidden in a yellow pipe-like thing near the bottom of the level. And there is plenty of empty space for him to jump.

That is a ca nn on, the "Tzar Pushka" in the Kremlin, if I'm not mistaken 8) As for canon... I also consider Keens 7/8/9 to be part of it. Their quality is easily on par with the original Keen games. I'm sure every Keen player has dreamt of chance ot face Mort directly in combat. That's ju...

My memories are a bit vague...

I think I was looking for some patches after the downloads section of Beyond the Pogo broke down. Google pointed me in the direction of PCKF.

"Oh, a community of Keen fans?" I thought. And then I decided that I should definitely join.

Everyone breaks down sooner or later. It is not something to be ashamed of. If anyone tells you they never had a breakdown - they are most probably lying to you. The human brain is an amazing construct. Yes, it does break down from time to time, but it also has the ability to self-repair. I've exper...

Well, in October I will officially earn my Master's degree in English Philology and Translation... and I'm not sure about what I'll do next. Two options: either no more school for the rest of my life (yay!), or I will go for a PhD, in which case you will have to address me as "Dr. Keeper" ...

Hmmm, to be honest, I liked the music. It gives a sense of creepiness that combines well with the overall atmosphere. Krodacia is supposed to be a mystic planet, right? There are magi, monks (fat), dark temples, etc. You have probably noticed this but I will mention it just in case - there is a nast...

I suspect that the idea behind this "font" was to imitate this title. Just like the opening sequence of Goodbye Galaxy and AAMB obviously imitates this :dopekeen

You are right, this isn't really a font - the letters were probably drawn separately.
