Re: Last movie you saw

On the topic of 70s horror film sets, I often work in the hospital where parts of The Omen were filmed. I trust you all located a reference to said film in one of my mods...

Re: Mortimer and Tuberia

Mort would be inside King Boobus, controlling him animatronically.

He's intrinsically a villain, it would take a lot more than a few veg to turn him around.

Someone should make an inception mod, complete with heavy source patching. Mort would be a good villain in that.

Re: Games that embody the spirit of creativity, exploration, and experimentation with computers

If you had to recommend one stand-out title (that one might not have heard of) from the article, what would it be?

Re: What Music Are You Listening To?

Would you consider sharing your thoughts on her book in the "What Books Are You Reading?" thread on here once you've finished it? Yes of course! My reading paused between parts one and two due to preparing for an important job interview but now I'm free to finish reading! I do really reco...

Re: OFF TOPIC THREAD: Where derailing the thread is impossible!

I'd love to extend a very warm welcome to the hundreds of new joiners of the forum since 11.31 on Sunday the 21st, each joining after another in a remarkably steady stream. All ye who have common first names and unfamiliar surnames comprised of mostly nonsensical fragments of words, and who have not...

Re: Stupid References are stupid

Stowed my luggage in locker 3-14 in Amsterdam Centraal earlier today. Genuinely was the one directly in front of me when I walked over to the lockers... not hand-picked.

Apologies there was no need for me to be cryptic, when my text was hidden anyways. I was referring to Shilin Forest and how I almost didn't find it. Beautiful level!

Re: Foray in the Forest

Still hugely enjoying this. I'm going to be honest, the difficulty level on Easy is perfect and this is keeping me engaged. A few other wonderful Galaxy mods disengage me due to too much frustrating difficulty. But this one continues to draw me back whenever I have a little free time. I now have two...

The PCKF/KM Technical Problems Thread

There doesn't seem to be a thread about problems with PCKF or KM so rather than make an isolated thread about one incident, let's have a thread we can use to keep such conversations in one place. Since earlier this week there have been intermittent server problems on both forums. It seems to be very...

Re: Foray in the Forest

Now some further thoughts. This mod is very obviously rooted in Keen4 stylistically and, at a deeper level, as a holistic gaming experience. I know it's already been likened in feel to Keen1 and I guess the comparison is probably for similar reasons in both cases. With Keen4 in mind, I need to prais...

Re: The LIVE music thread.

Last Friday I went to see The Vapors (early 80s New Wave legends famous for the one-hit-wonder "Turning Japanese"). Their studio albums from the start of the 80s are of an incredibly high standard and should be listened to hy anyone who likes that era of music (Joy Division, Cure, Squeeze ...

Re: Happy New Year 2024!

Happy New Year to you all! As per tradition, I took my country walk, this time in Buckinghamshire. Very muddy but a highly rewarding experience, with an exceptionally good value sausage and mash and an ale awaiting me at my destination. Anyway, this is a New Year that brings continued, ever amplifyi...

Re: What Music Are You Listening To?

New listening of note since last post (mostly albums entirely new to me or else ones not given enough attention before) Heavy/Punky! AFI - The Art of Drowning (2000) At the Drive In - Relationship of Command (2000) Lamb of God - As The Palaces Burn (2003) Lamb of God - Sacrament (2006) Lamb of God -...

Re: Keen Dreams: dropped veggies

Very cool find if this has indeed not been documented before. Of course, the enemies in your "Another Helping" were inventive too. But now you have an opportunity to make a further sequel. Maybe you could call it the "Forgotten Vegetables" like the legendary unofficial Age of Emp...
