Re: I need some help with Monster Bash

If I recall correctly, the way to access this is to use blocks that fall down earlier in the level and push (shoot?) them to the right, 'mopping up' the stalagmites. You stop before the gap before the last one, and then crawl to the right of the block and under the last one and in. Now, in E2L8 I'm ...

Re: Monster Bash Scoring

You technically could get all 3, but in reality it is almost impossible to do this on all but a couple of levels (i.e. levels which have an extremely long par time). In all other cases you would pick one or the other, I think the idea is to have an either/or playthrough, whether you either go for th...

You meaning, deleting the wierd FX , kills the charm?..
Pretty much. I think it's part of the soundtrack and really important. :) It's different from usual game music, which is piano and drum based. Even the guitar/leads are a little non-traditional.

I just read the whole Kickstarter page spiel. I feel very undecided- on the one hand I feel excited about the concept, on the other I feel like this is going to have too much of the "3D Realms" side of the company which is where I abandoned ship, in 1995 (excessive crudity, gore etc). I th...

Yeah, but it doesn't give you any idea on how to jump perfectly, which you have to do to get Loot Bonuses on E2L8 and E1L5 (and to some extent E1L.. 7, I think).

Thanks :) Just finished Episode 2 on Hard for the 3rd time in my life. Only ever finished Ep 3 once, and maybe not on Hard. Guess that's next :) Bio for me is slightly harder than Monster Bash on Hard, mainly because there's more enemies, and the game compromises your upgrades on Hard. But I've beat...

Pretty interesting, although could be better. Good to see the MT-32 being used for some Apogee music, don't think outside of my own works that it ever has.

I don't see a whole lot of quality difference TBH, although yours is the better one. Sound is better in mine though.

Anyway, if anyone has non-video quality comments, let me know.

Complete as in completionist, i.e. Skull and Loot Bonuses. I don't worry about Par Times. I was pretty surprised that not one YT vid had people exploring the full level, to be honest. Apogee games were popular and people with GOG have more opportunity than ever to play oldies. Not to mention it's E1...

It's 360p, and looks fine to me, just loaded it. It's a DOSBox capture of an old game, so not going to be HD! Hisymak: Thanks for the comments, and not about video res! To be honest, I'd played the level already that evening twice. Once I died too much, like 2-3 times, the next I screwed up the secr...

Monster Bash E1L2 Hard playthrough (secrets included)

Hey folks, I started playing Monster Bash from scratch this evening and couldn't be bothered getting the bonuses on level 2, because they are very difficult to get on Hard, and you usually lose too many lives. However I was surprised to see no one had gotten close to a complete level 2 playthrough v...

The forum keeps borking the URL code. I tried using tags and they didn't work either. You'll have to copy the URL, it includes the DOS part the forum doesn't include in the link.
