I don't think Commander Keen is inherently unprofitable. Just because Keen is the product of the early 90's doesn't mean the concept itself is outdated. A boy genius saving the world is a concept that will always be popular with children, whether it be Dexter's Lab or Jimmy Neutron. Plus, Keen has g...

2D sprites with Calvin and Hobbs-style visuals, Goodbye Galaxy gameplay with a few new upgrades, huge world map, tons of unique enemies and a humorous plot. Anything as good as Keen 5 (my personal favorite) will also do.

I could do the first option, but I prefer the best quality possible for audio. I could also do the second option, but I want my commentary to be unscripted. It's okay though, since I heard Stereo Mix could solve my problem. I'll have to find it first since it didn't come with my computer. EDIT: Got ...

Camstudio Help

I need help using Camstudio. I want to record my commentary over games, but Camstudio can't seem to record my commentary and the game audio at the same time. Is there any way to make it so Camstudio can record my commentary and the game audio at the same time? I'm using a headset with a microphone b...

ONE MOMENT! Can't believe how suitable this is for the current situation :P It is also the first thing you see when you boot up the first Keen game and thus the first thing you see in the series. Ironic to see it tell us to wait one moment for what might be the last Keen game. On an unrelated quest...

Oh heavens, I cannot wait much longer. I have eagerly been anticipating this game for quite some time now. I am utterly enthusiastic for this mod's release. I do say that I must have refreshed this page several times now out of hope that I would see how Ceilick and his fine crew are progressing wit...

Unused Keen 5 music on YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLtMoVmSlxE

What are your thoughts on this music? Could it have been the music for the Bean-with-Bacon Megarocket level or could it have been for something else entirely?

I was talking about the words I was going to put into the song. I think I do decent enough "do's" and "da's" but not really well at singing actual words.

Here's the second acapella.

I know I said this one was going to be lyrical, but my singing voice still needs work, and frankly I don't want to subject you guys to my mediocre singing. Enjoy the song anyway.

Just a heads up, but the next acapella will be coming tomorrow. I cannot tell you which song it is, but I can tell you it is another Keen 5 song and there will be lyrics. Right now I am working my vocal chords to death to ensure my singing doesn't kill anyone. Also, I need a good video editing progr...

Thank you, Spaceman Spiff. Be sure to tell your pet tiger I said hello. Then again, this post will not make any sense once you change your avatar.

The Keen site you gave me does not have all of the Keen songs though. I guess I'll just have to use my inner ear to distinguish each layer of music.

That sounds like a plan. Now to find some Keen MIDIs and a MIDI editor. Can you point me to the best place to find those things?

I'm sorry, I should have specified that I meant the music from the games. If I took a song from one of the games, could I split it up so I could listen to each layer of music? That's what I meant.

Before I proceed to do another acapella, I need to ask something. Is there a way to split up the music so I can listen to each individual layer? It is quite hard to pick out each layer of music when they are all playing at the same time.

Very funny. I take it you did all the voices yourself? I did, actually. I drew inspiration from (see: ripped off) Dave Bulmer who does all the voices for his songs. I still don't hold a candle to him, but I think I did rather well considering it was my first time. Ahahaha, that's fantastic! (Althou...
