HTML backups would be neat. They keep the original atmosphere in tact (though they still rely on dynamically-linked images that are liable to vanish in years to come). You could use wget to download the whole forum, linked images and all. IIRC it will even update the .html files to point to the loc...

That looks like one of those cheap Keycorp LCDs that show up on eBay from time to time. The border is interesting - Keen is one of the few games that sets an EGA border colour (which can be changed via the B+F10 cheat or set to zero to switch it off.) I think it's difficult to create a website that caters to what other people want - it'd be easier to create a website with things that *you* want. If you can't think of anything that you'd want (that doesn't already fit on another site, e.g. you could update the wiki's PCKF page if you think it's in...

I always thought a hard drive crash and a failure were the same thing. The first major hard drive crash I had was pretty obvious, because it sounded like there was a little man inside the drive using a jackhammer on it... Also freezing the drive was only supposed to help with the particular issue ex...

Actually the reverse is possible - the Linux video player MPlayer will happily use Win32 codecs by piping them through Wine, so who knows what's possible with Cygwin. The plugin architecture between XMMS and Winamp2 is practically identical, but I'm not sure about the later versions of Winamp. One d...

Don't forget that Google doesn't only search for text inside a page, it ranks pages based on how many sites link to that page. The reason the PCKF doesn't show up in any Google results is because only a handful of sites link to it. If you want it to show up first in Google, you'll have to get more s...
