btw the music is absolutely fantastic (there was a song playing in the trailer you posted so I didn't hear the music at first)! As for darkness, graphically speaking, well it may indeed be the darkest we've seen in the Galaxy format but is still really not that ominous to my tastes. It retains a lot...

Alright! So this topic has been quiet all week, but I have not been idle... life can be quite busy at times but I found time to scour Yorphius II (which as you know lacks a patch file, as all the text was hexed directly into the executable) for text, and assembled it in a word doc in English. I then...

Wow, I thought Keen9 would be the last time we would see a mod of its artistic standard but wow this comes sooo close, some of the things I have just seen are tremendously imaginitive! The background trees are so well drawn... and that light bridge, so simple yet amazing! Also the blue-green colour ...

Well okay, I plan to translate into French and German (the latter hopefully pending review by a fluent speaker) some of my favourite keen1 mods, and possibly some of my own. For instance I might start with KeenX, Yorphius II and maybe one of mine such as A Sham on Inishmort. I guess we're not going ...

I think that any of the non-roman-alphabet languages would be an amazing acheivement if placed in a mod. Very difficult. You'd have to make some kind of conversion chart between say the japanese letters and the upper and lowercase letters of the Keen font, and painstakingly write out the correct let...

I think that one could use translation of a mod as a linguistic learning exercise. Think of the vocab and grammar one would learn if one went to the trouble of translating a mod and working meticulously until you have the translation as accurate as possible. Perhaps then to pass it on to a speaker o...

I am fixated on the idea of learning both German and Dutch at the moment... so may I be trusted with the honour of those two, as a linguistic exercise?... and Irish obviously as well! :P oh wait, what mods are we translating? all of them? perhaps a topic for this (great) idea would be in order Level...

That's a really good song tulip... I really don't know enough early 60s soul... I do love Ben E King though and this reminds me a lot of his songs. Ha and nice flute, to continue our trend from a few posts back. Here is one of Ben E King's best, you probably know it as it has about 5000 times more v...

Meat Puppets - Meat Puppets II - representative song, well that actually isn't really possible as this record is quite diverse. But I love the guitar in this one: http://youtu.be/YmAnzLxI-cA . This music is difficult to label, try "prototypical-grungy psychedeleic country rock" from the e...

Nice work Duplex on that crazy level, looks like you've ironed out the "Benvolio Bug" [forgive me for my pompousness] - you know, this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY2Sj7xl60A This 'WA' level was in its original state a puzzle, with the collection of those cans as a pitfall which one...

Xky's first (and all subsequent) mods require no alteration imho! Some kind of re-release could be worthwhile but I wouldn't change much in them! As for LL's... my favourite was Shadowkeen 2 so hopefully this will get some attention. It had a vast number of levels in it. The worst thing about her mo...

The same thing has been happening to me. PCKF has been slow to load each page. I have also had this problem this week looking at Keen:Modding. It is working fine right now.

Haha I already made one of those, more of a blowtorch I suppose. But I am sure your version will be more cleverly constructed with more complex patches. I look forward to seeing it in action Levellass!

Well it doesn't have to be Keen 10, after all it could be just one of several imaginings of what happens after the U-TUIT series, just as Ceilick et al's U-TUIT series was just one of several imaginings of what happened after Goodbye Galaxy!! Allow the Auteur to assign it a name, number or symbol!! ...

this looks beautiful, almost Splenic in its use of colour. The background has a richness seen among EGA games only maybe in Cosmo. I am in love. You are one hell of a modder, it is plain to see!
