Commander Keen Meets the Meats

Watch the ending in this video. The uploader claims it is the original ending for Keen Dreams. Is this a hoax or real?

CKMM sounds funny, though :p Imagine walking liver, creeping bacon and hopping nuggets.

I think I recall reading something from Tom Hall or someone involved with keen that they really didn't like the idea of doing a keen meets the meats.

Anyway, ideal for a keen dreams mod.

I actually do remember seeing something like that, but I can't remember if it was official or not. The version I downloaded legally from the softdisk website has long since been lost. :/

If we did it, then I think it would fit as a sequel to Dreams and prequel to K4. After all, filling that gap and the "council-owes-Keen-for-previous-help" thing has been a popular subject in mods. Alternatively, Keen could just be drawn once more to the land of Tuberia, only to find it invaded by meats due to King Tuber's absence (and the Dream Machine is operational once more since Keen didn't destroy it in Dreams).

I think Meets the Meats was a some sort of planned sequel (even if not very seriously planned, probably). :confused I'm not sure. I think I've read that, but not sure where. Seeing things like this can easily make me remember false things. :p Which KD version has this, if any "known"?

It's propably in registered version 1.00, and was removed in later versions.

Notice how the Broccoli is absent in the title screen in the video.

Kidding, no idea, haven't looked but couldn't resist saying that.

We shouldn't make it too much of a prequel to K4, coz then that shuts up our chances of making another after this in that time frame.

I just checked it - I've got the same version of Keen Dreams! :eek
The Broccoli is absent in my title screen as well and at the end of the game, the last 2 pages of the text are exactly the same as shwon in the video.
I don't know where I got this version (it features no bonus levels).
I remember a version I got from a floppy disk, featuring the Broccoli in the title screen and bonus levels, but I think it got lost...
