Keen Sound Effects

Post by QU3TZ4LC04TL »

So I've searched the net, searched through various dead end topics on here, and still have no success. I am looking for the Keen 1 sound effects. All of them. If there was a sound in Keen 1 I want it. Does anybody have them or know of a link to them?

Hmm.

*dives into piles of boxes and zips*

*comes up with a box labeled "Keen1SNDS"*

*brings it up and puts it in delivery truck*

In what format? I have them as raw data with a sound player.

If nobody has them I can record them as WAVs. (Or hah! IMFs!)

Hmm.. well I wouldn't need enemy sounds, just Keen ones and items etc. I'm still trying to figure out if all Keen 1 sounds, all Galaxy sounds or a mixture of both would work for my game.

:p

I know someone exported them before and posted them online... You may want to search around a bit before going through the effort of re-ripping all that stuff.

I can't find any, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there.

Just grab that utility that converts them to .wav (for PC speaker effects) or IMF (for the Adlib ones.) I think it used to be on Andy Durdin's site. Or if you're game (and it still works) FileView can do it.

The CommanderGenius HQP should have most of them in .ogg format. You can download it here

I think we ran away when you said 'record' them - nobody likes coughs and things in the background of their sound effects ;-)

Would Galaxy sounds come with the high quality pack already? If I can get the sounds from that then all is well! So for now at least, don't worry about it levellass. Thanks though!
