Possible collectors item
Here's a weird shareware disc of Commander Keen. I found the cover art to be of particular interest. It's $4.99 with $3 shipping and BRAND NEW, which isn't bad at all. Might make a good collectors item, although it's just a shareware floppy.
There's 3 in stock.

Don't know what the weird dragon thing is all about.

This is very what.
What with the game series being listed as 3D hunting and the general first appearance of such odd cover art I am fairly suspicious.
Dragon thing appears to just be seller art.
Nothing all that special about dodgy shareware disks, although that is some interesting bootleg cover art. Doesn't specify what episode, probably 1, although there's an off chance it's 4. (I know the cover has screenshots of 4 on it, but that means absolutely nothing. Back in the day, we picked up a disk with 1 on it that advertised itself as 1, yet had screenshots from 4 on it. Kinda weird for a game subtitled "Marooned on Mars" to have screenshots from a tropical setting on it.)
All in all, why would you pay money for what is, basically, bootleg cover art?
EDIT: Hmm, it does say "Secret of the Oracle" on it.
EDIT 2: current seller seems as moronic/unscrupulous as whoever released it.

Since ebay have a habit now of making a page unavailable if the auction's finished:

In that case, why don't we ask him directly?Flaose wrote:Actually, he's one of the better sellers if I remember (quick, good communication and packaging).

I got Monster Bash on a floppy disk! Mine was the shareware part one that was a bonus with Goodbye Galaxy! I later did a registered download of the 3 episodes for $10.tulip wrote:'original cd', lol, you certainly belong to a younger generation...
100 is too expensive! I just downloaded it, albeit illegitimately and just got scans of the box and mannual! Good enough for me!
I recently got a copy of Reader Rabbit 1 in the box. It was on floppy disks, so I took it to a computer shop and they put it on a CD for $15 or so. A bit steep, but what can you do?/
