:moon First of all i would like to say hi.

second of all i would like to get proper sound working on my keen games. At the moment i only have the basic sound fx working and im not sure how to get proper sound fx and music working.

Any help would be appreciated

I highly recommend you learn to use this thing as it will play the sounds properly as well as let you do lots of other cool stuff. :)

Just to reiterate the advantages of DOSBox:
-Game runs as slowly as was intended so you see the wit that was injected into loading screens :P
-Full sound
Ability to change between windowed and full screen easy.
