Bizarre glitch/cheat?
Hey,
I was playing Keen2 over the summer, and accidentally stumbled across a glitch/cheat.
I was in the level Sydney, trying to jump on top of one of those red blocks in the beginning (being really klutzy doing so), when I accidentally pressed a bunch of keys together and a keeny message box appeared, with no text except for the bottom (Which said "Press Enter"). I thought it was incredibly odd and bizarre at the time, but I pressed Enter anyway, and the block I was trying to jump on vanished!
Seems to be this is some kind of cheat code I discovered accidentally, and I've spent hours trying to replicate it with no results. I know it HAS to be some kid of key combination of the keys right around where you normally place your fingers (I wasn't mashing random keys on the keyboard), but I never found out what key combination it was...
Any thoughts? Anyone else seen something like this? I know that in Keen3 in one level, there is a seemingly impossible-to-reach place (Even if you are in God mode), and if you could destroy blocks at will, you would be able to go there.

Well-known, this one. The tile accidentally has the property of a vorticon elder / message, and it opens the message window, but since there's no message for that particular level, it displays empty. The reason Keen manages to activate it is technical, too; the collision box of the Keen sprite is one pixel higher in the pogo frame, and thus, if pogo is enabled right where the other collision hits the tile, the pogoing sprite's collision box goes right through it, and the message happens.

It happens in ReedWulf's Let's Play of Keen 2 - I remember it from there...

This happened to me once, but it was in one of the home levels, so it actually displayed the message, and when I went to see the Vorticon Elder, he didn't say anything...
...says the most charming guy in the room.
I'm back... kind of? Not really.
