I always said Blooguard as an amalgam of Bloog and guard, since that's pretty clearly the origin of the word. I kind of like a pronunciation more like "Bluggard" though...kind of a sailor-style shortening of the pronunciation.

Nope - Giff. Jiff is a brand of bathroom cleaner (well, CIF now that they've standardised an international name and can't use Jiff as it's a Brazillian swear word)...
