Epic win for quoting TVTropes. I love that site. Levellass just gained 100 points and moved up on Stealthy's list of awesome people.

And funnily enough, "I can't defeat Air Man" is referring to a boss from Mega Man 2.

Since I've played a lot of games I can definitely say bosses always make them better.

But yeah honestly, Air Man isn't even that hard. That guy probably has never played the Sega Genesis version in which bosses have twice as much health, making defeating Metal Man or Quick Man a PAIN. But I felt SO SO SO much satisfaction when I bringed them down.

EDIT: TVTropes also looks like a mixture between captain obvious and cool story bro, just saying.

BLASPHEMY.
omao deadly piñata. Fun and all, and very arcadey, but it's not the sort of encounter that would be as memorable and meaningful to me as anything in a Keen game.

And the weapon detail means very little to me. Where multiple weapons is concerned, I prefer the systems Jazz and Duke Nukem II employ, where you can get any weapon basically wherever you can find ammo for it. It seems far less linear.
Boss fights are usually meant to test your combat skills to the maximum.
This would probably be why I find them less fun. IMKO, Keen > all because of its tendency to emphasise exploration and adventure as much as or moreso than combat.

I wonder what CKeen's opinion of a platform game with epic visuals but which is basically a 2D version of Myst would be. In fact, I wonder what my opinion would be, as I can't say I've ever encountered anything like it.

At least we can agree on this.
