Goodbye Galaxy on Ebay

Post by RoboBlue »

There are a bunch of listings for Goodbye Galaxy disks on eBay now, so I thought I'd list them:
5 1/4 floppies
Goodbye Galaxy "Bonus Disk"
"Titanium Seal" Goodbye Galaxy
This one's expensive.
It's difficult to know if most of them are the whole set or just episode 4, but they're affordable enough that it may be worth it.

"The VHS or DVD box is included. The video game instructions and box are included. The teeth of disk holder are undamaged. Minimal wear on the exterior of item. No skipping on CD/DVD. No fuzzy/snowy frames on VHS tape. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections."
Sounds... legit?
And that has a front sale price! It's shareware, that one!
EDIT: Owait, Keen 5 included?

"This is an old 3 1/2'' floppy disk shareware package that (I think) was sold at radio shack at one point. Disk looks just fine."

No Keen5

In fact I'm pretty sure the expensive one is the only one that has Keen5.

they're probably not worth it if K6 isn't included.

the ID 'site says K5 is about $20, last i checked. K4 is free, but K6 is the one that really costs the monies. :foot

Well that's interesting, because the casing of the floppy has a price on it. They were selling shareware for something like $6!
We got out copy of K4 as a "b-side" to some other game.

I paid eight bucks for a boxed copy of Xargon 1 at a 99 cent store once. People charge as much as they can for shareware. :/

Why buy smething that's shareware?

More importantly, I assumed a "99 cents store" was your equivalent of a Pound Shop - what was something doing there costing more than 99c?

yeah, I think the oddest thing I ever bought was a copy of Dune 2000 that only had the first level for every side, even with the box stating nothing about it being a shareware version, plus the shareware era had already been over at that point.

I don't think I've ever seen merchandise at a 99 cent store that actually cost 99 cents. Major chains like Dollar Tree honor the implicit "everything costs a dollar" claim, but nobody else does.
