actually keen 6 seems more like keen1 because of the red mars like levels and keen 4 seems more like keen3 because of the earth like environments.

Which makes sense, Keen 3 was set in a populous world of cities, Keen 4 in 'the badlands' which already sounds like it'd be rather... uninhabited.

Comparing the settings just doesn't cut it imko. Let's see the PLOTS.
Keen 1: Keen visits Mars, encounters aliens, has to find his ship parts.
VS
Keen 4: Keen visits Shadowlands, encounters aliens, has to find council members.

Keen 2: Keen visits vorticon mothership, encounters aliens, has to destroy a superweapon onboard.
VS
Keen 5: Keen visits omegamatic, encounters aliens, has to destroy a superweapon onboard.

Keen 3: Keen visits aliens' homeplanet, kills gargton of aliens, has to find mort.
VS
Keen 6: Keen visits aliens' homeplanet, kills gargton of aliens, has to find molly.

Result: Keens 4-6 are Keens 1-3 with new graphics and replaced characters

However I submit that all episodes except for 3 are remakes of 1, their plot goes:

* Visit weird place, collect plot coupons, win.

I thought the plot was to get as much candy as you can, so Billy can finaly fulfil his life-long dream and become an obese TV celebrity. He just wants to uphold the family tradition of television personalities.

heh true, but its more just lack of patching to change their gameplay from the originals in any significant way.
