Perhaps it's time we get a little more aggressive.
If they don't release the source code for free, so help me, we will make the biggest stink about this. Who's with me?

Well, Hall is still trying, so it may better that wait more.
But then, I'm not sure (and that's in case it matters at all).
Furthermore, I can sympathize with the commenters.

I just asked Mr. Hall on Facebook if he could confirm that ZeniMax has indeed declined to let him release the code... his exact response was:
"? Heard nothing like that?"
Hope I haven't annoyed the man.
I'm a bit more content waiting now, so I think I'm gonna take Lunick's advice and just lay off for awhile.

At the very least, the code is found. So it can be copied and backed up on a more secure medium and reduce the chance of degradation.
Having things on a magnetic medium seems archaic to me now a days. One solar/magnetic storm or what not and it's all bye bye. No matter how remote the chance. So I do feel that it's more secure now, and Tom will take proper measures to keep it that way.

Unless it's an archive quality CD, even they will slowly decay, faster if not stored correctly. Aaah bit rot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_rot
