Bip without Bipship?

Is it possible to create Commander Keen 6 levels with initially present free Bip? Or the Bip can be created only by crashing Bipship?

It must be a joke. Or do you know any way to make the goplat controlled by Bip to crash so that Bip would be freed?

Why don't you just make a mod with the bip sprites? Maybe the spaceship can be patched away somehow...

In fact, I know only very few kinds of vehicles (things that transport Keen or other creatures) in Commander Keen 6 at all - moving platform, rocket, satellite, Gik, Bipship. Only some moving platforms and all Bipships are controlled by Bip. And only Bipship can be crashed to get free Bip (goplat can't be crashed). So there isn't very much choice without patches.

Just replace one of the blooglets with a bip. With simple copy & paste, resizing of hitboxes, you can achieve great results without the need for any complex patches.

Another idea would be forbidding of killing helpless Bips.
If Keen kills Bip he could be punished by death penalty.
I mean, the collision code could be patched so that Keen dies if Bip is squashed.

Do you mean without changing the blooglet's behavior? Cuz I predict that will be one fast zooming bip (compared to the slow walking ones).

There is in fact a simple enough patch that allows you to have a placeable Bip in Keen 6. It uses the same sprites as the crashed ship Bip as well as its behavior.

But what would you do with such a thing?
