Keen 5 platform

Post by MortimerInBlack »

The red platforms in Keen 5 have an S on them (in SGA). What could this mean?
The Viking II lander actually did land on a 'rock' on Mars.

I've always assumed "surf", judging by the stance Keen takes when riding them.

Yes, I'd say the same.

I always thought it meant "Shikadi" since they built the whole place.

It never occured to me that this could be a SGA letter. :dopekeen I always thought of it as marks, where to put your feet on the platform. And Keen never stood there correctly >:

A few years ago, I wrote/though about some stuff, trying to expand the Keeniverse. I came up with the assumption that the "S" was the type of platform. (I also made up letters for the other ones, but I don't remember what they were.)

Was this by chance something you put online like in a section of your website, or just something you fiddled around with in your mind on your own? Personally, I do that quite a lot with Keen stuff.

I was just doodling/writing in a notebook... I think I threw it out though - it was pretty poorly written, and kinda stupid. :dopekeen

I have considered writing a biography of Mortimer McMire...I haven't actually done anything about it but it might be fun, when I have time and all that.

That'd be very interesting. In fact, I have ideas for a Mort story, too. :mort Has the community turned evil all of a sudden? :evil

I think it's just that things like the Keen universe inspire us to make up our own story's and universes. Personally, when I write I get bogged down all the time getting sidetracked on making up the surrounding environment, language, future physics, etc. I think I'm better at making up a world than coming up with an actual story.
