Almost. All it needed was the GameboyAdvance platform so that it would have had more buttons and a better field of view. :crazy

It looks like an incredibly virulent form of the plague!
The more I watch this, the more I have the feeling that gratuitous acts of senseless violence are my forte.

I didn't want to, but these guys are forcing me to do it. Now I have to put a pinch of scoff and ridicule in my upcoming mod.

I think it's in Beta Mode, as some youtubers (Mobile game players as far as i can tell)
so far the only of them that seems to recall "Commander keen" is their comment section Image
as they only seem to do lip service (getting early and "free" access for not being critical about the product. aka Influences)

But to be honest, I Can't bash the art too much it looks good, design faults aside
but how it got stringed together with the gameplay and Mobile systems Yuck!! Image

It would be funny if the Art assets got taken and made into something actual Keen like!
(as i think we can agree the biggest issue with it the potential Story re-telling, Gameplay and the trailer music...)
that then got way more popular on the Google-play/iStore, in both numbers and Ratting score

I'm getting strong Lemmings Mobile vibes. Soundtrack reminds me a bit of Jazz 2, which is neat.

Seeing currency more advanced than just points=lives in a Keen game is going to take some getting used to.

It looks like just... another boring mobile game. It kinda most seems like a rip off of Doodle Jump.

Keen deserves much better than this... Having played these games with and without cheats, I can tell you that one of the things that makes Keen special to me is the ability to just explore a level, and find all the little secrets and doohickys. This, unfortunately, just seems to have the same basic vector rendition of what's probably supposed to look like Mars, but looks more like where Wile E Coyote would be chasing the Road Runner. Where's the variety? Where's the soul?

Even without the Keen stuff it wouldn't be very good looking... In fact I don't think anything would significantly change.

Edit: I also agree it gives Lemmings mobile vibes, now that I think of it.
