I like Slug Village because of how versatile it is. Think about it... it can be a fun little tune, a nice background song, or even a sad song (like the ending of Man Sieght Sich Galaxie or the ending of TMST's Shadowlands 3 parody)
I also like Metal from Keen 6, and the scrolling story music from Keen 5. I don't know why, but I always try to remix or orchestrate these two songs... I never get very far, but you guys might have another remix to listen to in a few months!

This thread needs a mandatory link to the music. (I had to download WinAmp *JUST* to play these songs. >: )
While I think that Robert "Bobby" Prince was a lame, uninspired, midi artist who's songs were mainly boring, repetitive riffs, I have to say that Commander Keen was his best work. Bottom line.
As for my favorite songs; "Mamba Snake", "Make it Tighter" and "To the Future!"
But Kick in the Pants in Good Old Hillville is probably one of the most iconic songs of the Commander Keen series.

There's nothing wrong with WinAmp. ZoomPlayer is the simplest and the best, though.WinAmp
Now that you said it, I kinda agree...While I think that Robert "Bobby" Prince was a lame, uninspired, midi artist who's songs were mainly boring

Really? He's kind of a hero figure to me for his tracks in Doom, Hexen, and (of course) Commander Keen. I might be mistaken in the claim he composed the Hexen tracks though...Grimson wrote:Now that you said it, I kinda agree...While I think that Robert "Bobby" Prince was a lame, uninspired, midi artist who's songs were mainly boring

I agree, I like the guy, especially since I can't do better. (And I LOVED 'Countdown to death', even if the level it's used in is scary beyond belief.)
I really liked "Mamba Snake", but I still prefer the Keen 6 story music. (I think it's called ominous.)

What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.
