Looking good, this is an extensive preview, nearly 8 mins.
Well I'm not sure I would have made the platform chunks that big, but the rest looks pretty usable.
I don't know if you're familiar with Keen:Next editor, but the stamp function would be a thing you might wanna look into.

If possible, you should try to mimic the scrolling in the original games as close as possible, meaning that the screen should scroll only when Keen moves near the edge, not so that he is always at the center.

Whoa, this looks like it could really become something great!
Keen's position on the platforms looks a pixel too low, and the shots look a bit awkward, but the parallax scrolling looks perfect.

Can I ask what MMF engine you are using for the platform movement? If you are using that default platform movement, you're going to run into a lot of problems. I remember there was one tutorial on making a custom platform movement that, even though rather complicated, worked really well.

I don't know how much experience you have with the program, but I still see a lot of bugs with your engine. Make sure you take the time to get the engine perfect before you try designing much in the way of levels.

I have quite a lot of experience with MMF. If I ever find the time (probably not this weekend), I might be able to take a look at your code and see how it can be improved.

I use custom movement of course (based on that - http://www.clickteam.com/eng/resources/ ... torial.zip). I have fixed scrolling, but I have got problem with moving platforms... I wish with help it will be fixed...

Looks good but acceleration down is a little bit too strong. The original game had the same acceleration both up and down, and the same peak velocity both up and down. Keen in your demo falls faster than he jumps, which is physically impossible.
