What I'm interested in is additional game play mechanics. Like pogo upgrades, maybe someway to make his wrist do more than just the menu's. Just seems like Keen's only genius is involved in making the BWB and his watch. Well that and the intergalactic transceiver, which is only plot related.
Wall pogoing would be sweet also. Like a wall jump mechanic using that.
What do you want in a Keen game?

Keen's wristwatch could be used to 'hack' switches or doors, where the hacking takes the form of some 'minigame' in the way a lot of games do.
And yeah, ways for Keen to be more techy would definitely be a plus, although I'd be hesitant when it comes to any kind of weapon/attack upgrades. That would require revising the way enemies work and behave extensively. For example, if Keen were given some kind of pogo stick melee, enemies would need to be smart enough to try to get out of the way, no more plain back and forth movement.

Or the mine trucks in Keen Dreams?guynietoren wrote:Perhaps I like DK Country too much, but I'd enjoy playing a mine cart level. Maybe could patch a moving platform to do that.
Cereal Board!

More interesting game elements. Mario, for example, has shells and other portable items, spin jumping, P switches, spring boards, etc. In keen, there isn't anything interesting besides moving platforms and poles.
Keen also needs a couple more elements that could be used to build puzzles. The most complicated keen puzzles are "collect a gem in order to collect another gem."
