Just read about your surgery - hope you get well soon, Gridlock.

Actually I didn't ask you for help in my last post which in my opinion would have been rude because it's your tread but offered you assistance in your mod. What kind of graphics do you need for the help screen?

Just about over the worst side effects of the surgery and whatnot. Hagel, don't worry about sounding rude or anything, I was just too lazy to post that in your thread. Help screen graphics will be things like pictures of Keen and whatnot. If you scroll through parts like the story section or ending screens in Keens 4-9 you'll get a feel for the types of images I'm looking for. Anyone who wants to help with those will need to demonstrate a lot of talent at drawing those kind of images, otherwise I may just have to ask another experienced modder.

Besides getting over the surgery, I have plenty of make up work to do so I won't have a lot of time for Keen for a while. I'll get back to the mod sometime soon hopefully.

Happy Keen Day! It’s been a year since I released any screenshots of the game, and I figured that it’s time to give you guys another preview: a one level video.

This showcases the beginning of the world map and the first level of the game. Tell me what you think. I apologize if the video lags; I can’t tell whether it’s the video itself or my computer.

Progress is certainly not dead. Now that I’ve mostly recovered from my surgery a few weeks back, I’ve made a little more progress. Much of my time was spent fixing up this level for the video, but I also accomplished a few other things including level revisions and work on the last remaining levels. Don’t let this fool you, though. There’s still a lot of work left to do, especially in the sprite and graphic department. The final boss still needs tons of work too. Ideally, this might be released later this year. As you saw with Battle of Brains, however, things can take a lot more time than what is estimated. Currently about 16/17 of the 18 (possibly 20) total levels are done.

Also I have no idea what happened to the text on some of my earlier posts. Have a nice Keenday.

This is awesome, Gridlock!! Those trees look amazing, and very realistic. This mod promises to be up in the ranks along with Dead in the Desert and Battle of the Brains! Keep up the splendid work!

Love to see the progress being made on this. All the little details in the environment, such as the blinking eyes in the holes and the hanging vines, really give it a memorable and 'real' feeling.

The music's pretty good, too

I used to feel bad for not meeting gridlock's expectations for sprites, but now I wouldn't want it any other way than it is now.
