Public Commander Keen Forum

This isn't going to be a mod. This is a fangame. Before you all get disappointed, let me assure you I am actually competent at fangaming unlike most twelve year olds who try.

Those of you who go on #pckf may know of this already. Those who don't should use #pckf more often. Ghost Ship of the Dead Ghosts is an interquel, between Invasionf of the Vorticons and Goodbye Galaxy. Graphics-wise, I have little done except this picture of Keen's head for his standing sprite.

About the chat. I once entered pckf channel, waited for few hours for someone to say something, and then CKeen enters and said that something sucks. I didn't remember what was it, but the following chat was completely non-commander keen related. I was just looking for netkeen dm.

But anyway, the whole idea of a ghost ship sounds cool. Will it be more scarier themed? i.e. Dead Space? I cannot say much, as you didn't show us a lot, but keens hand should be a bit longer. Luck with the project.

Good luck animating a sprite you didn't even have the motivation to finish a single frame of.

Maybe that's the point - it's about Ghost Ships, so Keen will be a ghostly diesmbodied head and arm...

I'm just waiting for the prequel to this interquel, "Commander Keen in Ghost Ship of the Alive Ghosts."


@PandoricaShark: Honestly, I wish you luck on this project. That half of a sprite you made looks good. If you maintain this level of quality throughout the entire development and actually complete the game, it would be fantastic. I just have zero faith that you'll actually follow through with it. Prove me wrong.

Actually I think I will eventually complete this one, it's just that's the only .png of the keen sprite I had on my computer which was reimaged a while ago.

I have a rough sketch of rough concept drafts that are rough and rough and feature most/all of the main cast, including Molly McMire, Lindsey and Page, albeit a very different Page.

The Ghost Ship is captained by Murder and Scaarii, who are two aliens from an isolated horror planet looking for proof that other life exists in the universe other than them - and they intend to take a planet's worth of proof back with them through the black whole they created when they came through.
