as you can see, (s)he has not edited the post (obviously, otherwise this issue wouldn't occur), and (s)he has already apologized for the allcaps, something that could've easily been corrected.

Jusr wanted to answer your question on nicknames- YOU can't change it, but you can ask someone who is an admin to do it, they just have to log in and administrate the user... this is also how bans, titles, stickying, topic movement, etc. occurs. Also, no, postcount should not be affected.
